This weekend was gut wrenching for me. My tears feel like lava. I’m in rescue because that’s what God told me to do. My love for every one of these babies is so deep. It hurts so bad when they cross the rainbow bridge. I just hurt. Hug your pets today. And please spay and neuter. Please. This is so hard. Spend a day working with me and I guarantee you will spay and neuter. No excuses not to. None. I’ll help you if you can’t afford it. Just contact me. Too many amazing babies are dying. Just dying. For no reason.

That’s 10 years and 9 days
And today, this decade comes to a close.
I’m sad. I’m happy. It’s bittersweet in all the ways. I can’t thank you all enough for 10 amazing years as your trusted groomer in the Spring Hill and surrounding areas. I started Splash Grooming as a mobile business and in October 2022, I started a dog rescue, A Freedom Journey, and built a shop in my home where I hired my first full time groomer, Katie. This was such a blessing and a God led change and now, I find myself closing this chapter. Katie is moving out of state and I have decided to focus all of my time and efforts on the rescue and let the last 10 years be laid to rest.
🤍To say I am thankful would be the understatement of the decade. I have literally had THE BEST and most faithful clients. I adore you and your pets. I have met some of my closest and dearest friends through Splash Grooming. Thank you for allowing me and Katie to be a part of your lives. I will miss this. But my passion and devotion is in dog rescue. I hope you will follow along my journey there and if you find yourself looking to add some paws to your family, please reach out to me. May God continue to bless you as well as A Freedom Journey.

After serving the community for 11 years, this chapter is coming to an end. We have been extremely fortunate to provide quality service to the most amazing clients we could have ever asked for. Many of you know that I have been running a dog rescue (.freedom.journey ) for the last 17 months. And now that Katie is moving out of state, we just do not see a way to continue to provide grooming services. Katie was one of a kind. Extremely kind and talented, dependable, patient, and just overall wonderful. Finding a replacement for her will be extremely difficult and as the rescue grows, we will find ourselves changing locations as well. So after 11 years, we are saying goodbye. This is so bittersweet but when God puts a path in front of us, we must take it and that is what is happening here. Thank you ALL for your many years of support and dedication. If you are looking for grooming references, I am happy to send you my recommendations. Just send me a message and I’ll gladly pass it along to you based on your area and who would best fit your needs. Thank you all. So much. We love your babies like they are our own 🤍🤍🤍

It’s “Giving Tuesday” and I know you are all so generous all year long. But if you are looking for a place to donate on this national day of giving, we would truly appreciate your support!!! All donations are tax deductible. Right now we are raising funds to build a boarding and training facility in our property and all donations this month are going straight to that fund. We need to raise $120k to make this happen and I am choosing to believe that we will hit that goal before build time!! Every dollar helps!!! With this facility, we will be able to save more dogs and provide them a clean and comfortable “home like” place to stay while they are vetted and waiting for their forever family. We will also be able to provide a wonderful training space to ensure the dogs are fully prepared to be a part of their new family as well as begin training dogs for veterans and ptsd clients. 🐾 we have a small home based shop where we take one client at a time. Crates are only used when multiple dogs from the same family are dropped off. Otherwise, 1/1 grooming and your pup doesn’t have to stay all day. Katie is an amazing, patient, friendly groomer. We are so fortunate to have her on board. Everyone absolutely loves her. We know how hard that can be to find!!!
