Alex is part of the team that keeps our hospital in tip-top shape! Alex has been with us for almost 3 years, and whenever an issue arises, he’s always the first person we call. His willingness to find solutions to the problems that pop up every day in a hospital our size is truly appreciated. He makes sure our maintenance needs are met and that everything runs smoothly. He is always easygoing and cracking jokes to keep people laughing!

🌟 Celebrating Chelsea – A True 10-Year Veteran! 🌟

Today, we’re celebrating another remarkable milestone for one of our own – Chelsea, a proud member of our 10-Year Club! 🏅 From day one, Chelsea has truly made her mark. Over the years, she has risen through the ranks, excelling in every role she’s taken on. Currently serving as our Inventory Manager, Chelsea’s dedication and hard work are evident in everything she does.

What stands out the most is how approachable and down-to-earth Chelsea is. She has an unmatched knowledge of where everything “lives” and is always ready to answer any question—no matter how big or small. I love sending new hires her way because I know they’ll always get a thoughtful and genuine response.

Chelsea, you are such an incredible asset to our team, and we want you to know just how much you're valued. You make the seemingly impossible look easy, and you do it with kindness, patience, and grace. Thank you for being such a phenomenal team player and for making such a lasting impact! We are beyond lucky to have you with us!

🌟 Celebrating Connor – A True 10-Year Veteran! 🌟

Connor is one of few that has passed the huge milestone of 10 years of employment at our hospital! He is one of our hardest workers and is always willing to jump in to help no matter what the task is! With his reserved and quiet presence, his sweet nature and strong work ethic make him such a joy to work with. We all look forward to seeing him every day, knowing he’s there keeping the hospital looking and smelling great.

As our Facility Coordinator, maintaining an emergency and specialty hospital’s cleanliness is no small task - but Connor makes it seem effortless. In 2023, Connor was the first to be voted as our Team Player of the Year as a result of his hard work and dedication. Thank you, Connor, for everything you do every single day. We truly appreciate you and all the hard work you put in to tackle the messes and keep things spotless!

Today, we want to take the day to honor and show appreciation for the amazing individuals who make everything run smoothly behind the scenes. Our support staff are the unsung heroes of our hospital – you may not always see them, but their impact is undeniable!

From stocking medication and supplies so we have what we need, to ensuring every exam room is spotless before we even have the chance to clean, to curating helpful brochures with the perfect details—our support team is always ahead of the game! And when that unexpected leaky sink shows up, you can count on them to fix it before we even notice. 💪

We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated and hard-working group of individuals making everything better. Thank you, Chelsea, Celeste, Connor, and Alex, for all that you do to keep us moving forward! You are truly appreciated! 🌟

Meet Kim!
I realized at a young age that I wanted to work with animals and started when I was in high school. I have been working at SCVSEC 12.5 years, 9 of which were in Oncology and I continue to learn something new every day. I have 3 fur babies: Rahjah, a chihuahua mix, she is the boss. Katrina, DSH who thinks she is a dog/human, and the newest member, Dahlia, Shepherd Mallinois mix puppy. It's a crazy bunch but I would not have it any other way. I enjoy helping my team to grow in their skills and knowledge and jumping in the trenches with them.

I graduated from Piedmont Technical College in 2018 and became an LVT. I actually started at SCVSEC as an extern in 2018 and fell in love with the fast pace and cases of emergency and have been there since graduating. I have one very spoiled Doberman and a couple of reptiles. I enjoy hiking, reading, and kayaking.
