Megan joined the pet care industry because of her lifelong love for dogs and a deep appreciation for the bond between dogs and their people. Her favorite part of the job is helping create positive, memorable experiences for both the dogs and their owners. She’s a hard worker who brings a great attitude to everything she does, and she loves being part of a team that gets to be a little bit of sunshine into people’s lives, one wagging tail at a time.

At home, Megan has a four-year-old Alaskan Malamute named Zira, a rescue and her soul dog who keeps her on her toes. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, drawing, and spending quality time with her family. Her favorite role of all? Being mom to her adorable two-year-old son, V!

Since joining Club Pooch, Cole has quickly proven himself to be a dedicated, knowledgeable, and compassionate member of our team. His strong work ethic, attention to detail, and genuine care for both the dogs and their owners make him a valued presence here at Club Pooch. Cole approaches each day with a desire to learn and grow, taking initiative and supporting his fellow team members with a positive and thoughtful attitude.

In addition to his professional strengths, Cole has a personal passion for animals and a love for writing. He shared the following to offer a glimpse into what drives him:

“Hi, my name is Cole. For as long as I can remember, I have had a love and fascination for animals. As soon as I was able to work, I began my journey in the pet industry. For the past seven years, I have been dedicated to learning and understanding how to care for a wide range of creatures. It quickly became a passion of mine to teach and guide others on what I had learned. I am a man of God, and my love for Jesus has shaped me into a hard working, compassionate, and loving individual. When I’m not at work, I enjoy hiking, fishing, caring for my geckos, as well as reading and writing. One of my favorite parts of working at Club Pooch is seeing the joy on our client’s faces (both dogs and people) when they reunite at pick up.”

A lifelong dog lover, Becky is the proud owner of Club Pooch and brings over 20 years of experience in the pet care industry. Her journey began with her very first job in animal care back in high school, and she’s been dedicated to the well-being of dogs ever since. Her passion for dogs, dedication to client satisfaction, and commitment to fostering a positive team culture are at the heart of everything she does.

At Club Pooch, Becky balances the administrative side of the business while also serving as a hands-on support system for both staff and management in day-to-day operations.

Outside of Club Pooch, Becky is a proud wife and mom to two young daughters, ages 3.5 and (almost) 2, along with her beloved dog, Buddy. When she’s not at the facility, you’ll find her spending quality time with her family, volunteering in the community, or enjoying a game of pickleball.

Shay has been working with dogs for over three years and absolutely loves every minute of it. With a deep passion for animals and a calm, loving presence, Shay brings warmth, care, and consistency to every furry friend she meets. She’s known not only for her gentle approach with pets but also for being an extremely hard worker and someone the team can always depend on.

Ashley has been working with animals since the age of 15, starting her journey at an animal hospital and continuing to grow her passion ever since. With nearly a decade of experience in the pet care industry, Ashley brings both knowledge and heart to everything she does.

Her favorite part of the job is building trust and forming genuine connections with the dogs she cares for. Whether she’s helping a shy dog come out of its shell or giving extra belly rubs to a familiar furry friend, Ashley’s compassion, patience, and gentle presence makes every dog feel at ease.

🐾Meet Melanie🐾

With nearly a decade of experience in the pet care industry, Melanie’s journey began when she left the retail world to follow her true passion, working with animals. She started out as a dog groomer, where her gentle touch and calming presence helped even the most nervous pups feel at ease. Her talent for making dogs look and feel their best quickly became her specialty.

Eventually, Melanie discovered the world of dog daycare and instantly fell in love with its fast-paced, joy-filled environment. She joined Club Pooch in January of 2022 and quickly stood out as a natural leader, earning a promotion to Assistant Manager. Since then, she’s been dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and enriching space for every furry friend in her care.

Outside of work, Melanie is celebrating her first wedding anniversary this October. She’s also a proud parent of a recent University of Maryland graduate. Go Terps! At home, she shares life with her 7-year-old cat, Tanner, and her 9-year-old rabbit, Hudson.

When she’s not at the daycare, Melanie loves relaxing with video games, building Lego sets, and anything Pokémon related.

🐾Meet Cheyenne🐾

Cheyenne is one of our newer team members, and she’s already become a fantastic addition to our staff. With nearly three years of experience in the pet industry, she brings genuine care and dedication to every animal she works with.

Her journey into pet care began with a lifelong love for dogs, she’s always had them growing up and now shares her home with two of her own: Ghost, a fluffy Samoyed, and Maverick, a playful Husky. She dreams of adding a Golden Retriever to her furry family one day!

Cheyenne has also rescued three cats Pedro, Destiny, and Rocky whom she found on the side of the road and welcomed into her home.

Cheyenne is currently enrolled in a Veterinary Technician program to further her career in animal care. When she’s not working or studying, Cheyenne enjoys taking her dogs swimming and spending time with her boyfriend, friends, and family.

With nearly seven years of experience in the industry, Shaylea brings a deep passion and natural connection to every animal she meets. Her love for animals has always outshone her love for humans (and she’s not afraid to admit it!), and in recent years, the comfort and companionship of furry friends have been especially healing as she navigates life with an autoimmune condition.

Shaylea’s favorite part of the job? “Loving on the dogs and welcoming new members into our club! It’s the best part of my day!”

When she’s not at work, you can find Shaylea reading a good book, exploring nature, spending quality time with her family, or binge-watching her latest favorite series. One of the newest faces on our team, Marissa comes to us with over five years of hands-on experience in the pet care industry. Originally from Maryland, her journey with dogs began in New Jersey and from that moment on, she knew she’d found her calling. Marissa brings not only a strong background in pet care, but also a genuine passion for animals that shines through in everything she does.

At home, she shares her life with a lively bunch: a Pekingese-Beagle mix, a Doberman-Beagle mix, a spirited German Shepherd puppy named Rain, and a cat named Athena Beans. While she loves working with dogs of all shapes and sizes, retrievers will always have a special place in her heart!

Ruben has been a dedicated member of the Club Pooch team since 2014, bringing over a decade of hard work, heart, and commitment to everything he does. Known for his calm presence and compassionate approach, Ruben is passionate about helping dogs build confidence, gain trust, and most importantly have fun!

As our Lead Handler, Ruben plays a key role in shaping not just the dogs’ experiences, but the team’s as well. He’s taken on a strong mentorship role, helping to train and support new staff members by sharing his deep knowledge of dog behavior, body language, and play styles. His patience and insight make him a natural leader and a steady presence in the play yards.

Ruben excels at forming genuine bonds with the dogs in his care, always taking the time to understand their unique personalities and needs. Whether it’s a shy pup needing reassurance or a high-energy dog ready for adventure, Ruben knows just how to make each dog feel safe, seen, and supported.

Outside of work, Ruben enjoys long walks in the park, hiking, bar trivia nights, watching movies, and catching up on sports. His love for animals and dedication to their well-being is matched only by his team spirit and positivity.

🐾Meet Maddie🐾

Maddie has been working in the pet industry for over four years and brings a lifelong love for animals to everything she does. Growing up surrounded by pets, it was only natural for her to pursue a career centered around them. Maddie has big dreams of becoming a professional pet groomer and eventually opening her own grooming business.

Known for her gentle approach and genuine affection for the dogs she works with, Maddie loves spending her days giving pups plenty of love, care, and cuddles.

Outside of work, she’s an adventurer at heart, whether she’s kayaking through Virginia’s scenic waterways or hiking through nature with her camera in hand. Maddie is also passionate about photography, especially capturing animals and the great outdoors. And if you ever notice her with a fun new hair color, that’s just another way she loves expressing her creativity.

Jamie needs no introduction, but just in case you’re new around here, she’s our amazing Manager and the heart of our team!

With over 10 years in the pet industry, Jamie brings passion, experience, and endless love to everything she does. Incredibly dedicated, Jamie pours so much of herself into her work. Whether she’s ensuring each dog has the best day ever, supporting our clients, or leading our team with compassion and strength you’ll find that Jamie does it all!

As a selfless manager, Jamie looks out for each and every employee, always making sure the team feels supported and appreciated. She cares deeply about every client and dog that walks through our doors, treating them all like family.

Outside of work, Jamie is a proud wife and mom to a 17-year-old daughter who’s just started her senior year of high school. When she’s not at the facility, you can find her spending time with her family and her adorable new puppy, “Crouton.”

We’re so lucky to have you, Jamie! We truly couldn’t do it without you!
