🐾🐾It's Heartworm Wednesday!
🐶🐶Say hello to Hank!
He is a gentle 5.5-year-old with a stunning brindle coat and a heart full of hope. A little on the shy side, Hank takes his time to warm up, but once he does, his calm and kind nature shines through.
He walks beautifully on a leash and would love nothing more than quiet strolls with someone who sees the special soul he is.
❤️‍🩹Hank is heartworm-positive, but don’t let that hold you back—the shelter covers the full cost of his treatment. What Hank needs most is a loving home where he can feel safe, heal, and finally know what it means to be truly loved.

🌟 ADOPTED! 🌟

We’ve been waiting *nearly three months* to make this post… and it’s finally here!

🐘🐘Sweet Elephant was officially adopted today! 🐾💖 Nikki saw a post about her from Kendall Cash and drove *three hours from Florida* to meet her — and the moment they met, we knew it was meant to be.

Elephant came to us on 2/7 as part of an animal cruelty and neglect case. She and several other dogs were placed on an evidence hold until 4/2. Since then, this gentle girl has patiently waited for someone to see how special she is.

She’s been so good with other dogs that she became our *behavior team’s go-to test dog* — always calm, kind, and steady.

Today, the entire shelter team was *over the moon* to see her head home. So many staff jumped into her group photo to celebrate her big day — she’s been loved by everyone here.

Happy tails, sweet Elephant. 🐘💞 We wish you the happiest life with your new family — you deserve every bit of it.

We wanted to thank our Best Friends of Shelby Humane for getting a drink machine installed in our break room! It's much appreciated and will be used a lot!

Today's employee of the week is Cash!
He works as our intake manager at the shelter and meets every animal when they come into the building.

Thank you Mt Laurel Public Library for collecting donations for the shelter!

🐶🐶Small dogs go fast, so don’t wait, but be aware that these babies are scared in the shelter setting, so their potential is being hidden by being in a new environment with strangers. They may be skittish now, but in the right setting; a peaceful, loving and nurturing home, these pups can begin to trust and become the sweet pets they are meant to be! 🥰

🐾🐾 Meet our Pets of the Week

🐶Randie- Randie came to the shelter on 5/3/25 as an owner surrender due to the owner just not having the time for her. She is about 7-months-old and is friendly energetic and playful. She is a sweet pup with much love to give, and the perfect size! Randie is also on our priority list so she is fee waived!

🐱Dolce- Dolce came to us as a stray on 6/8/25 and is looking for the perfect home. She is 2-years-old and could be adopted out as a barn cart or a pet that has his own space. Dolce is a man of his own, he enjoys the company of others but would love to have a space of his own. Dolce is a sweet man who would love to be loved on his on terms.
