I need all of our great customers help on a matter. Hog hunting in ohio is being threatened by house bill 503. The wondrous house of representatives, the ohio pork producers , the ODNR , and several other groups put together a bill to stop ALL hog hunting ohio. You will not be able to kill a hog in the wild unless you own the property. If your hunting property that's not yours you will be required to report it to the the ODNR or face a fine. Sound like communism to me. The ranches in ohio that do hog hunting and exotics according to the bill could face fines and a felony charge if found in possession of a wild hog. This will force hard working tax paying citizens to close there business that have been in business for 35 to 40+years! It will cause loss of business for exotic game farmers and taxidermist like us. Please email call and harass all these people before more of our rights are taken away. I personally if this bill would pass the senate and our lustrous RINO govenor signs it, will not ever report and hog activity to the ODNR at any time. There will be one less hog in the wild I will guarantee this!!!!! All the child molesters drug dealers, ra**st and murderers out there and this is what they do in ohio. Time to speak up. this just one issue in hunting and the JOs in Columbus will make up more hogwash to take away more of your rights.

I received a message this morning from our family at the Double "D" Ranch that our dear friend Bill Patton passed yesterday morning. Bill was a great man who we all loved and spent alot of time with over the years. Whether it was hunting or just sitting around having a cold beer shooting the breeze he was always full of laughs and wit and I learned alot from him in our talks. I was lucky enough to have hunted with Bill several times and to have mounted several of his trophies for him over the years. Bill was a Vietnam War vet serving several tours as a screaming eagle in the 101st Airborne and retired from the US Army. We all will sure miss him and all of you that never met Bill would have felt the same way as us and he was loved by all. RIP Bill see you again someday! Love ya brother!!!

Today I learned that we lost a dear friend, long time customer an all around great person to everyone that knew him! He will be missed greatly and please say a prayer for his beautiful wife Gail and his son and daughter as they go thru this process. As Bill would end all conversations, Love you brother!!

This buck we got to mount this year was pretty special to us from our lake family Erin Weitzel and Corey House. Oliver killed this monster on the family farm and they drove clear from Mason Michigan to our little shop to have us preserve his trophy! Thanks again for your patronage and again congrats Oliver on a great Michigan buck!!! That smile is worth a million bucks!!!

Well that's a wrap on the 2023 season! We just want to thank everyone for your continued business and patronage. Thanks to all the new faces and return customers this year. Sorry we had times when we had to turn people away because we were filled up, this is not something we like to do as we do not brag about how many mounts we have coming in the door, we like to brag about how we can get your mount to you quickly and efficiently and a quality good looking detailed mount. We thank all of our customers again for your business and thanks again for a great year!!! We will be working hard here in the coming months to get all of your trophies to you to take home to enjoy! Just want to give a quick update to all of our customers. After the deer we receive in today and tomorrow we are filled up at the moment. Between the rut and the good youth hunt we filled up quickly. Yes we are going to take more deer but we will be closed from Tuesday night the 21st till next Thursday November 30th. We will be hunting ourselves and will not open the shop again till that evening. Sorry for the inconvenience but freezers are filled at the moment. Will do our best to accommodate as many as we can till we hit our magic number and shut it off for the season, so we are not done yet just gotta make some room! Thanks everyone again for your patience and your patronage! Happy safe hunting!!!

First deer in for the year is Ellie Griffiths! Shes with her dad Chris who is a long time customer and great friend! Her sister Izzy had the first one in the door last year and she is carrying on the family tradition. The Griffiths family are long time customers and have a great history of dedication to the deer hunting sport. Congratulations again Ellie on your first deer!!!

Just want to update everyone on the progress on there mounts. We have received our final shipments on our forms and supplies and will be working as quickly as we can to complete everyone's mounts here in the coming weeks. Delays were a battle again on supplies but not like last year as this year we stocked up on things such as eyes and ear liners early in the season. We truly thank everyone for there business and patronage again this year and the long list of new customers coming in from people spreading the word! Thanks again to you all for another successful year at G&R Outdoors Taxidermy!
