Momo 💙

“Momo was the kindest and gentlest dog. Her favorite thing to do was sniffing. She had her nose to the ground every time we took her on a walk. She also enjoyed running and fishing, liked to participate in reeling in the catch. Momo was a good jumper, big leaps from boulder to boulder. Sometimes we suspected she was a mountain goat in disguise. Momo loved playing games with her treats. Momo was also bilingual. She was always there for her boys, from seeing them off at the bus stop on the first day of kindergarten to celebrating college graduation. We love you and miss you Momo. Dexter 💙

“Dexter was an extraordinary dog and a true crowd favorite, often referred to as the “lab of dachshunds” due to his calm demeanor and easygoing nature. He was kind, quirky, funny, and incredibly loyal. Rescued by his mom from the Licking County Humane Society on August 2nd, 2012, when he was 3 years old, Dexter shared a bond with her like no other—a true Momma’s boy in the best way.

Dexter loved to spend his time sunbathing, napping with his Mom and Dad, and doing his signature excited dance. He adored his siblings, who were also dachshunds, even though their energy was sometimes a bit too fast-paced for him. While he mostly preferred to watch from the sidelines, there were a few times when he couldn’t resist joining in and playing along. Dexter had a sneaky side too—he would often munch on mulch, toys, or other things he wasn’t supposed to, always managing to do it so cleverly that it was hard to catch him in the act. He also loved to howl along when we sang “Wetzel’s Pretzels” to him to the Indiana Jones theme.

Dexter was resilient, handling his health challenges with grace. He was the perfect patient at the vet, always allowing them to do what was needed. Dexter fought so hard to stay with his people, but in the end, his body grew tired, and it was time for him to rest.

While 12 years together was a long time, no amount of time would ever have been enough. Dexter left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him, but none more so than his Mom and Dad. They are forever grateful for the privilege of being his parents and cherish every moment they had with him. They look forward to the day they’ll see him again, and until then, they will carry his memory with them for the rest of their lives.
Dexter is survived by his Mom and Dad, Karalee and Tyler Miller, his siblings, Triton, Daisy, Jax, Laszlo, and many more family and friends who adored him. Rest Easy, Dexter Tom
