I’ll be the first to admit that Tigerstar isn’t super impressive to look at, but I’ve always had a great appreciation for brown geckos. Underneath those muddy layers, he’s hiding some nice yellow tiger lineage too! His one pairing last season took off late and mama took a break for winter, but she’s back to laying now and I’m looking forward to seeing more of his productions join the world.

Still waiting to see if I can get Fuse to fire up as much as he did in his youth, but whenever he’s sitting still he photographs pretty well! These moments are very “deer in headlights”, and typically punctuated by mad dashes across the room. I do love this wild little man though!

When I was feeding and doing health checks this weekend, this little V***n x Balthazar hatchling caught my eye! Falkreath is a younger sibling to a hatchling I just sent off and was starting to regret, so I’m pretty happy to see some siblings following the same line of progression. I sure love a nice flame!

This lucky bachelorette, Ophelia, will be meeting PX4 (see my last post) later this season! I’d have introduced them already, but given the fact that I’m moving at the end of this month, I decided to pump the brakes on new pairings until geckos have a chance to settle into the new place. Hopefully the move doesn’t stress out the ladies who have already started laying for the season!

PX4 is the biggest and unruliest gecko currently in my care, by like, a lot. Not only is this man a lean 78g (at his weigh in 2 weeks ago at least, I double checked my records), he also LAUNCHES himself out of his enclosure at the smallest of provocations, and has enough brain cells to actively evade capture too. Thankfully he’s also pretty gentle and doesn’t bite at all, at least!

All of my gecko pairings that I had started for 2025 early have been separated besides a select few in anticipation of my upcoming move at the end of February. To help ease my transition, I will have many adult geckos available locally over the coming weeks! But not my sweet Iskierka, pictured here. I have favorites. Witchlight has a tentative home lined up already, along with Colada, and they’ll be moving on this weekend. I hate to downsize even a little, but I have to be reasonable with myself knowing that I may be moving into a smaller space (and if I end up with a bigger space, then I’ll still be able to rebuild with what I’m keeping!) To add a bit of clarity to my last post, my apartment suddenly decided not to renew my lease due to changing their pet policy regarding reptiles. I’m looking for a new place to live right now but I’m on a tight timeline so you can expect some reduced activity online!

My living situation is about to change dramatically— this fantastic tiger male, Pharaoh, is available locally for an absolute steal in an attempt to downsize somewhat quickly, along with several other adults and near-adults that I intended to roll into my breeding collection in the coming year or two. I’m hoping not to have to leave the hobby completely, but at this time it’s not off the table and a bit of downsizing is inevitable regardless. If I have a project or a breeding pair that you’re interested in and you can meet locally for delivery, please reach out with a reasonable offer!

Colada is one of my few female holdbacks from Umbreon, not for lack of trying! I made the mistake of selling some of his first kids too young to s*x and missed out on a few nice ones, then the nicest ones after that just happened to be males. I like her fired down look quite a bit! Fired up she’s a nice brown; she missed out on the extra dark base color some of her brothers have.

Back to my regularly scheduled gecko content! I had a lot of fun this weekend taking pictures of some geckos with my space themed set up for my light box. H***y Tonk fit the theme incredibly well with her fired down grey tones. She and Umbreon still have several clutches of eggs incubating and their kids that have hatched so far are off to a great start; not a chance I’m releasing them before I’ve had a chance to see how they progress!
