2025 pairings have begun! This is only a few of the match ups that I have planned for this year, and I couldn’t be more excited. Most of these kids are first year breeders so I’m not sure how much success I’ll see, but I’m hoping for the best!

I paired Tabby x Zeus a little earlier and already have their first set of fertile eggs on hand, and the rest were left together overnight and checked on in the morning. Chalcedony lost her tail to Mulch (they seemed to be okay when I introduced them 😰), so I separated them and will try again in a month or so… all others look pretty good so far though!

Any favorites from the crowd? Any pairings you would choose differently? Let me know on the comments!

Mulch will hopefully be breeding in 2025, so I risked life and limb to get these fresh pictures for the internet.

Last year I tried him with a proven female who has rejected every male I’ve tried her with and a first time female who was laying duds, but got no results… fingers crossed he can figure it out this year with one of my two new breeders who I’ll be trying him with!

In light of the most recent new hatchlings in the gecko room, I thought it would be a nice time to release progression pictures from Umbreon’s last pairing with Espeon! Since this pairing produced a super cappuccino, it will not ever be repeated and neither parent will be purposefully bred to another cappuccino in the future. This pairing produced one of my most colorful Capps from Umbreon to date in Quail, and has allowed me to share first hand experience in the progression of super cappuccinos. (Don’t worry, Gummy Worm updates will continue!)

Overall, these have been the most docile and easy to handle of Umbreon’s babies! I’m also starting to think that the female in the pairing is the one who informs the growth rate of babies— Espeon and River were both smaller and slightly older geckos and produced slower growing offspring with Umbreon, whereas Olivia and V***n’s babies with him all seemed to be hitting close to full size at a year old. Does anyone else have experience to support my theory? I’d love to know in the comments how your babies grow differently depending on the female who produced them!

It’s been quite a while since we had any fresh Umbreon kids join the world! His pairing with H***y Tonk didn’t take until later in the year, but I’m expecting to see some nice hatchlings come from them in the coming months now that they’ve figured it out! I’m excited to see how these kids change as they grow compared to half siblings from Umbreon’s other pairings in the past!

Introducing another new arrival- Lava Girl! I saw her fired up at a local show this past weekend and could not keep my eyes off of her. She was originally produced by AC Reptiles, and since I don’t have any geckos of their lineage right now I thought it would be nice to add her to my red empty back group I’m starting up. (It also doesn’t help when vendors offer me deals I can’t say no to, I’m a huge sucker.) She has another year of growth ahead of her before she’s RTB, but I’m happy to have her and looking forward to watching her grow here!

My chahoua babies have been such a pain to get fired up, but MAN did they show me it was worth the wait after a local reptile show this weekend. These two clutchmates are coming into some really nice colors and are finally at a size where I’m a bit more confident in my ability to s*x them. First pictured is Rapier (male), and second is Saber (female); both are listed on my Morphmarket!

I am open to trades for certain high-end cresteds, but I’m really looking for a nice male chahoua from an unrelated line showing some nice red coloration, and I’d be willing to trade both of these clutchmates for the right bachelor!

New Arrival Alert!

I’m excited to introduce the lovely Ophelia into my collection, filling in a missing piece of my 2025 breeding plans if all goes well. I’ve been good about not impulsively adding geckos to my collection in the past several months, but she’s officially broken me out of it and I have more new arrivals to preview soon 🫣

How am I gonna fit all these geckos in my room when I’m at capacity?? Well, I’m glad you asked— I’ve released a couple retired breeder females to my MM page (fees are negotiable for the right home on these girls), and I anticipate releasing a few more adults before season start to slim down my anticipated pairings. In 2025, I’ll be producing cappuccinos, Frappuccinos, yellow and red phantoms and hopefully some nice pinstripes of all colors as well, but plans are still in the works and nothing is sacred! If there’s anything you’re looking forward to, be sure to mention it in the comments so I don’t cut your favorite pairing 😜

I’ve been seriously slacking on social media lately… I haven’t even shared these two adorable hatchlings from V***n x Balthazar! So far this pair has been producing exactly what I was looking for too. I’m hoping these flames grow up to turn more cream colored like V***n, but I certainly won’t be disappointed if they retain that orange color!

It’s nearly time for me to announce my 2025 plans, but I have so many prospective pairs I feel like I may need to slim down before making any proclamations. This year Umbreon’s kids will be joining the roster in full swing, so it’ll be really exciting to see how my cappuccino project evolves with the next generation!

Time for a Gummy Worm update! Gummy has had quite the growth spurt, weighing in most recently at 16g, and I’m fairly confident in my ability to tell that she’s a female at this point. Unfortunately, she’s now at a size where I can notice more significant differences in her ability to thrive compared to normal or single gene cappuccinos of a similar size.

Now, her parents have produced docile and easy to handle hatchlings consistently between all of the siblings from the pair, so it could just be Gummy’s personality, but she is no longer very jumpy compared to some other geckos her age. I wouldn’t consider her lethargic exactly, since she still moves willingly and catches moving prey, but I do suspect that her lack of developing muscle mass in her legs contributes to her behavior in some way beyond just cosmetic.

Besides her legs (and her head I suppose!), I believe her body structure is still okay, and of course, I’ll be continuing to monitor her carefully and share updates as her situation continues to develop. In some good news, she’s at least big enough that I can see visible nostrils now!

Happy Monday from Morpheus! If he would just grow a little bit faster I’d have him in my 2025 breeding roster… but we’d best wait for a year and give him plenty of time to develop! Definitely my favorite pickup in the last year though, I have two females set aside for him with the goal of some bold patterned high contrast dark flames.

Still deciding whether Dolly here is worth adding to the breeding roster, or if she would be better to send off as a pet since I have no indication of her age due to her background. Her structure is weak for sure, but her yellowy pattern has my attention! The camera doesn’t pick it up well, but she actually has a weird reddish tone to her base color. What do you think? Keep or retire?

Iskierka is the freshest chahoua in my collection, and my absolute favorite… sorry to my other guys! The red she has just blows my mind. I’m on the lookout for the perfect male for her, but I’m both picky and only looking for trades, so it may be a while before she actually hits my breeding roster 😅

Chalcedony kind of outshines every other lily white in my collection, and has me waffling on which of my males to pair her with next season… should I put her with a possible Capp male to try and prove another out besides Umbreon, or should I try her with Mulch who has a weird potential pixel look?? It’s so hard to decide!

Andraste may be the most potato shaped gecko in my collection, but she definitely doesn’t have to deal with that potato color! Unless you consider the color of buttery mashed potatoes 🤔

She’ll definitely be in the 2025 breeding roster, that’ll take some of her fluff away!

I hope no one thought I was done with cowboy hats. A follower here requested this specific gecko, so I had to give it a shot despite his teenage rebellion phase! Shocking Grasp is an early bloomer and likes to chase things that move 😅 I still managed to get a few nice shots though!

Taking name suggestions on my 2024 holdback girl! I wasn’t originally going to keep a holdback, but I love her bright orange and don’t have any adult paradox albinos in my collection (only paradox snows!) Comment with what you would call this little bean ❤️

No name is too silly!

These kids hatched… weeks ago, but I’ve been so busy and stressed at work that I’ve fallen pretty behind on social media updates 😅

Don’t worry though, my passion for geckos isn’t going anywhere, and I’m so excited to announce some of my upcoming plans for 2025!
