Well, we've had an up and down emotional (and busy) weekend of lost pet searches, that continued into today. We received a call around noon about a lost puppy in Inman near Lake Bowen. He had gotten loose on Friday with a leash still attached to his collar so there was obvious concern that he could get hung up on something. There had been a sighting yesterday so we were somewhat confident, based on his size and the fact that the leash was still attached, that he was probably close to where he had escape from. I was also concerned about the rain coming in that would limit my ability to fly, however, we got a good window based on the radar so we got up in the air as quick as we could. Within 20 min, we found a heat signature, it was Bucky! I stayed hovering above him and called the owner to come out to try and catch him. Once they got to the edge of the woods, they were able to lure him out, REUNITED!! And just in time as the rain started coming down. As always Maggie Drone performed admirably, this time in the cold and rain.
The annual Polk County Toy Run took place this past Saturday. It's such a great event and cause. Thank you to all the sponsors, volunteers and especially all the riders for all that you do. I was told there was 261 riders that helped deliver toys for the kids in Polk County, WOW! In light of what has happened over the last few months in the aftermath of the storm, it was a beautiful sight to see all those motorcycles roaring down the road. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!!
The annual Blessing of the Hounds on Thanksgiving in Landrum this morning. Not quite like Moore County (those that know, know) since there was little tailgating and...uh not much alcohol😂but still a great tradition for our area.

We were out looking for a lost boxer last week and came across this nice buck. I love the zoom capabilites on the Mavic 3T.
BTW, the boxer is safe and sound at home. We did an extensive search of the area and determined the dog was not in the area. The owners expanded the reach of the posters way beyond where we searched ... and magically the dog returned a couple of days later. The owners believe someone had him and then saw the signs and let him go.
