Hey yall! I know I haven't posted in a while, just been enjoying summer and walking pups 😍😍 a got a few new and recurring clients over the past few months and it's made my heart so full!! 🥰🥰

Just wanted to pop in and let everyone know I'll be taking vacay from Sept 12-23rd!! I am still accepting bookings prior and after said dates, however please send me a message sooner than later so I can plan as I won't be able to book while I'm away!

Only 3 of the 5, but I love taking care of these babies! Oliver loves to get all the attentions, Scooter does too but he was daydreaming (or maybe giving me the cold shoulder for showing Oli loves, don't worry they take turns lol), and then Edward he's the one who pretends he doesn't like hugs but then he secretly loves them. Edward is a prince and just wants you to come to him 👑🐾💞

I love learning all their little personalities and yes, each animal has one regardless of species or breed just like you and I. I remember most of the sea turtles I worked with looked so similar to each other, but if there were ever twins, I could likely tell the difference by something small physically and/or their personalities. They're all sweet souls, teaching us everyday ♥️

Yesterday we had two wonderful Golden Retrievers, ages 6 and 2, come in for elective surgical procedures. Both dogs had a history of eating a well-known and popular grain free diet for several years. In one dog, an arrhythmia (irregular heart beat) was detected so an x-ray of his chest was taken. His heart was enlarged, so an echocardiogram was scheduled for that afternoon. An x-ray was also taken of the other dog's chest as a precaution, and his heart was also enlarged. He was able to get an echocardiogram same day, as well.

The reports on both dogs just came back, and both of these gorgeous, otherwise perfectly healthy dogs have Dilated Cardiomyopathy. The cardiologist suspects that in both cases it is related to their diet. Thankfully, this condition was caught early, and when fed a traditional diet, their condition should hopefully reverse. Their cases are being reported to the FDA, along with the thousands of others from across the country.

There is no evidence to support feeding grain-free. Most pet allergies are related to environment (pollens, etc) or protein sources. Grain allergies account for a tiny fraction of all food allergies in dogs. Unfortunately, many dogs are becoming very ill or even dying from eating so-called "BEG" diets (boutique, exotic, grain-free), and the terrible thing is nutritionally mediated dilated cardiomyopathy is 100% preventable. There have been zero reported cases of NMDCM in dogs eating foods that meet WSAVA guidelines, currently made by Purina, Hill's, Iams/Eukanuba, or Royal Canin. We strongly suggest if you are feeding a "BEG" diet that you change your dog over to one of the brands listed above. If you have any questions specifically related to your pet, please call us.

We are so hopeful we caught this disease in time for our two beautiful patients to reverse their disease. Their very caring and dedicated owners have already changed their diet to one that meets WSAVA criteria. P.s. make sure to ask lots of questions to help find the perfect fit for you and your family. Not every breed or personality works for each family and that's okay, a great bond, peace, harmony, and how much dedication to training, exercise, etc is important!! Also can check to see if they are fully vaxxed, spayed/neutered and heartworm negative or positive!!

Happy Thanksgiving y'all!! I am so grateful for this life, myself, my family and friends, my clients and their fur babies, and just the pure inherent freedom that this business has provided for me! It's truly been such a blessing and I love bringing ease and relief to y'alls life knowing that your pets are loved, cared for, and safe.

One thing you may not know is that this past July I lost my boy, Thor. He was a huge part of why I've become the person I am today and taught me so much: about myself, about him, and about dogs and animal care in general. The unconditional love given from him and your pets is unwavering and being able to give them care has been a huge support in my life since losing my boy. It is a passion of mine and is helping to heal a piece of my heart everytime.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for your trust, for your support, and your kindness and loyalty. You are so appreciated and truly helping me live a life I'm in love with. 🐾❤

I know its spooky season, but it's beautiful season too!! And I've been loving lovin and playing with these cuties 🥰😍🐾 all Amstaffs, Jock, Jorgia, and Jessie love running around under the foliage and cuddling too. Best of both worlds :)
