One of the “not so cool” sides to breeding ball pythons, if that fact that not all babies make it, for various different reasons. One of the main reasons, is they don’t always eat after hatching. Most can be assist fed, then eventually take meals on their own. Some do not. We’ve had this baby, that hatched in Sept, that would not eat. I’ve been assist feeding. She is so tiny, but she’s been fairly active and pooping pretty normal. I’ve been damn determined to keep up with her, as long as she keeps going. Well, tonight, just about 10 min ago, SHE TOOK HER FIRST MEAL!! She struck, wrapped, and ate her first meal!!! Some of you understand this feeling!!!! I just had to share that with you all!!

Whew!! Busy, fun weekend!! Two great shows!! We had a great time, as always, at the Springfield Ohio Reptile Expo yesterday. Then today, the Zanesville Ohio Reptile Expo , was so much fun!! So many people have fun, learning, and picking up new babies!! We had several ball pythons and cresties find their new homes. We really loved all of the conversations and the research being done. You definitely don’t wanna miss the next one!!

Next up, Columbus reptile expo next Sunday!! Don’t forget it is in the new location 3300 Refugee Rd!!

Well, we’re up and at it!! Last minute expo addition!! Come see us today at the new and improved Zanesville Ohio Reptile Expo from 10-3!! Should be a great show. We will be bringing some beautiful baby Crested Geckos and Ball Pythons. We will also have those Coco Blocks that you need to fight that wintertime humidity battle!!

Just a friendly reminder: with these crazy temp drops over the next couple of days, there is an increased chance of power outages. Please try to have a back up plan to give your animals some form of warmth. Also, we don’t recommend feeding, in case of said power outages, lower temps could present digestive issues! Hopefully, everyone stays warm and safe!!
