Hiya Cakehounders! Happy New Year!! Here are some favorite cake pics from the last 12 months. I hope you can feel some of the joy that we experienced this year spoiling your pets. There were several times this year when I questioned what the heck I was going to do, but at every turn and every doubt you showed up. Your love for your pets (giving cute, well made baked goods, 😉 high value snacks, accessories and toys) is strong and remains so despite a rough financial year. I am so grateful to all of you for your continued support. This was my 3rd full year in the store and honestly, it feels great. Challenging, of course, but what good is the day to day without learning and the occasional wrench in the wheel 😆. I feel so lucky to have a staff that’s dependable and eager to learn. This is the first year I’ve only had to stay late or go in early a handful of times. First year I’ve been more present at home during the busiest months. First year I can breathe a little, relax a little. Even in the moments I had doubts, I knew to just hang on for a little and it would be ok. This is in thanks to them and all of you. If all else fails, I’ll be a mail carrier or something, right? (Seriously though- mad respect for mail carriers, and I really would become one). 2024 brought on several new business relationships which I couldn’t be more thrilled about. More places to get high quality baked goods for your pets all over the city- yes please!! If I can suggest one New Year’s resolution to anyone reading this- remember to support the small businesses; we simply cannot survive with you. In summary it was a pretty good year, and I cannot wait to see what’s to come in 2025. Cheers and Happy New Year 🥂 !

Howlin’ Hound was a smash! We raised $450 for @sts.ohio , with 225 dogs signed up and a total of 210 in attendance 👏🏼 yall came out to PAWTY yesterday - many of you in full group costumes which is mega impressive. Can’t wait to do this again!!! If you missed out on spooky treatos , fear not, we’ll have them in the bakery cases until they’re gone! Happy Howloween 👻
It’s our 3rd anniversary week!
It’s our anniversary week! I can’t help but reflect on the beginning days of this space on this 3rd anniversary… As we snuggle into the fourth business year and the beginning/middle!? section of time I’d like to reflect back onto that foundation. Building a business is HARD. The vision at least came easily to me. The pieces all fell into place naturally. I knew what I was going to create and everything I wanted and didn’t want to be. I was and am so fortunate to have “a guy” for almost everything and mine were my husband, parents, various tradesmen and skilled friends. Without their help my foundation would have been weak, but with them I felt able to take on the world. They helped me build and create a space that’s fresh, open, inviting and fun. A space where you can bring your pet(s), hang out and buy some high quality treats and products. We strive to make the best fancy treats your dog can eat while staying in the fresh and natural parameters. We strive to stock our shelves with the highest quality accessories and treats while still supporting local and small businesses. This in itself is a separate dance and the steps always seem to change mid way.. We do it because it’s important. It’s what you deserve. We love you and your pets and we want ya to come back for more! I don’t know where I’d be without my staff. A handful of amazing folks have joined the team over the years and help keep the wheels on when at times they were surely about to fall off. We can all show up day after day and bake our hearts content but we couldn’t do that if you didn’t shop with us. So thank you for 3 years of support. We hope to see you and your pups around for many years to come 🤗
Having a gingerbread house making competition with my family has been a Christmas Tradition for years, which is why last year I put knife to dough and designed one for the dogs 🐶 not only are these fun to create, but the dogs can actually eat them!! When is the last time anyone ate one of their crusty houses!? The kits range from $20 with your most basic supplies to $36 adding on additional frosting colors and cookies. Available in store or online beginning Dec. 13th, although we recommend pre ordering.
