Ugh. It’s hard right now and we’re all feeling the exhaustion and weight of it all. I’m struggling to post, struggling to function, and struggling to do it all. And I’m constantly getting sick from the mental exhaustion. May was Mental Health Awareness month and to say that mental health is something that has impacted our family greatly this past year is an understatement. Even if your mental health is usually fine, these are hard times, so we need to take extra care of ourselves if we already struggle with it. But I didn’t manage to post anything in May about mental health, probably because it honestly all just feels like too much sometimes. I think some times we don’t see people or businesses posting about what is going on in the world right now and we might think it’s because they don’t care. But I find many people care so deeply that they struggle to find the words because it’s just all so exhausting and I can certainly relate to that. So please know you’re not alone. 💗
And this post is honestly as much of a reminder to myself as it is a message to anyone else who needs to hear it. Find your joy so you can continue to carry on. It’s so important. I always say if we lived more like dogs, we would be better for it and here’s yet another example. Dogs certainly know how to find their joy.
Thank you for letting us be a small part of your dog’s joy and hopefully some of yours too during these emotionally draining times. I am sending love and light to all that need it right now. 💕🐾 If you need someone to talk to, DMs are always open. Oh and if you’re looking to get involved in a grassroots organization to take action and honestly just find community, I’m part of a great one called — shoot me a message or comment with any questions.
And I hope the pics of smiling dogs help!
Wags & Woofs, (and deep breaths)
