Update- Dr Sharp called me today and Mickey was up eating and drinking! Not sure what caused the fever and they are keeping him under observation another day- but a big improvement♥️🐈♥️

Little Mickey is sick - he is in the hospital @ Caldwell vet in Phenix city💔 he was there yesterday and not feeling any better so now he has to stay in care. He has a very high temp (106) not responding to antibiotics. We are very worried - if you can contribute to his care that would be appreciated.

We are sad to update that one of the orange babies passed away overnight.💔 There are 2 left from this litter and they are getting treatment as best they can, but they desperately need to be pulled by a rescue and recover in a foster home or at the vet where they can receive around the clock care.

Come see our kitties! If they are still on stray hold you can still come meet them and put your name on them for adoption for when they become available! All adoptions come with a mandatory spay/neuter voucher if they aren’t already fixed! They will also receive age appropriate vaccines and a microchip!

‼️URGENT‼️This sweet baby came in yesterday and we are begging for a rescue to step in and pull to get him the help he needs. We will post a video in the comments as well but he’s not able to stand or walk on his back legs and is just dragging them. The part-time vet has not seen him yet to examine. Please share and tag any local rescues that may be able to help! I am sure a foster will be needed as well! *He is not yet available for adoption.*

We just got word that Columbus Purrs n Paws rescued over 30 cats from Columbus Animal Care & Control Center yesterday, clearing TEN kennels! Holy MOLY. Thank you SO much to everyone who had a hand in this. The cat room has been so stressful lately without any empty kennels. This is HUGE!

This sibling trio has been here for 2 whole months! They are the sweetest kittens that are growing up in a cage waiting on someone to come adopt them! Stop by today to visit (and maybe adopt) 1, 2, or all 3 of these cuties! We are open until 5pm and adoption fees for kittens are $65 which includes a voucher to have them spayed/neutered. 😻

Currently drowning in cats! (And our dog friends need help too!) Please come adopt or contact one of the local rescues if you are able to foster!

Here’s the deal-

The cat room is OVERFLOWING.
Every dog kennel in the building is FULL.
Rescues are BEYOND capacity.
Lives are on the line today.

We need adoptions.
We need owner pickups.
Rescues need both cat AND dog fosters.

If you can help by adopting, come up to the shelter ASAP. If you can’t adopt but can help by temporarily opening your home to a dog or can, it will LITERALLY save their life. You can message Paws Humane Society, PCS Pups, Animal SOS, or Animal Ark Rescue to get signed up. If your pet is up here, please come pick them up before 5pm to save a life!

If you’re looking to adopt, we encourage you to bring your children and other dogs for a meet and greet.
