Over the next several weeks, we’ll be introducing the dogs that are a part of Butterfly Paws! First up is Hank!
Recently, Melissa McMillen, CTRS and program manager of the Butterfly Paws program, spoke to our staff about their important mission. It was incredibly touching to learn how both the facility and therapy dogs impact and benefit the lives of patients, families, staff members, and volunteers at NCH. We were so honored to meet Melissa’s therapy dog, Hank!
Some fun facts about Hank are:
🐾He loves fully stretching out for belly rubs and leaning on people to be petted.
🐾His first career was to be a seeing eye dog but decided to be a therapy dog instead.
🐾Favorite activity is fetch and favorite toy is a glow ball.
