Columbus Pet Chaplain

Columbus Pet Chaplain Our Animals bond with us heart to heart, and give us the precious gift of their pure and unconditional love. The loss of that love can be devastating.

It is important to find others who can offer you the support and understanding that you need.

I don't know why this resonnates with me so much but it really does! Maybe the memories of my times in the woods, with large decks, animals, and lots of windchimes. It hurt me SO to not have that any more.

Have you experienced Anticipatory Grief? This the grief that you feel as you realize your beloved pet is getting sick, showing signs of aging, or suffering, and that they are nearing the end of their lives with you. I am taking a Pet Loss Specialist Certification class, and I need to do a short interview with someone (today or tomorrow) who has experienced grieving prior to the end of a pet's life.
We can do this by phone, Zoom, or chat. Whatever works best for you. Please let me know if you have gone through this and wouldn't mind talking with me. Thank you! Hope you are having a great day!

Joan Ranquet - Communication With All Life Learn to Communicate with Animals with Joan

Introducing my FREE Animals in Transition: May their Memory be a Blessing Spotlight! Register for FREE here:
https://ql429.infusionsoft.com/.../60c351f574d5530115f7e7...
This event will include 2 Facebook Lives and several days of journaling, memorializing and getting creative around our loss(es) in order to literally let their memory be a blessing!!
We will kick off the event on Wednesday, February 14th on Valentine’s Day at 10 am PST as we go live in my Learn to Communicate with Animals Facebook Group.
If you are like me, we think about all of the loves on Valentine’s Day. So I thought we would take some time out to honor our beloveds who have crossed over or are in transition now.
So often, we have memories of the end when they were older or in pain. We may still carry trauma around these losses. Or we are currently looking at an animal who is struggling but is not ready to cross over.
We don’t want all the good memories to fade away.
So, we will work on this together.
Some of the things we will review:
- The transition event itself or preparation for it
- The origin story, the essence, the favorite things
- The STUFF!! What do we do with the stuff
- Who would they want us to be now?
- The New Normal
- Who we are now as a result of having them in our lives.
Each of the handouts go over specific memories to rebuild our joy. You will receive a handout a day and then we encourage you to connect in everyday in the Facebook group.
You can spend time on the handouts in the evening or in the morning over that special cup of tea or coffee.
When our grief or guilt is in the way, it is difficult to “feel them” or connect with our beloved animal companion.
Animal communication with the deceased doesn’t have to be difficult, but it is easier when we have worked on our own emotions around the situation.
Of course this is an ongoing thing.
Grief is never over, it just becomes different when we live with it.

This is brilliant!

Maybe you have noticed my new name and logo. The colors, supportive hands, infinity symbol, and paw prints towards the Rainbow Bridge or into the sky, all really show what I am committed to doing. I love the idea of a Pet Loss "Companion," because that is exactly what I aim to be for you! I want to accompany you on your grief journey, and I know that it is all of YOU who help ME on my OWN journey every time that we share our stories. Thank you SO much! I really appreciate all that YOU do to help me on my own Journey.
Thank you!
If you want to join our Zoom group this Tuesday 7:00-8:30pm, PLEASE send me your email address and I can give you the log in information. [email protected].

I love this!

BARC has partnered with Wildtunes.org to provide an exciting new opportunity for our musically inclined volunteers! BARC Volunteers can now sign up to provide musical enrichment for our shelter pets. Studies show that melodious music can reduce cortisol levels and have a therapeutic effect, slowing an animal’s heartbeat and reducing anxiety. This calming effect helps readjust them to human company.

We encourage that anyone with the talent and access to gentle instruments such as the acoustic guitar, ukelele, piano, violins and other similar instruments to sign up today to provide a calming experience for our shelter pets. This opportunity is open to volunteers of all tiers! The only requirement is that you’ve registered as a volunteer and have participated in New Volunteer Orientation. For more information, contact [email protected]!
