Neko is FUN! This little spitfire thinks she is the biggest and the best of all of the kitties in the shelter. Neko will push her way in front of any cat to grab your attention and steal your heart! And oh boy does she love to play! Any cat, any size they are fair game for a wrestling match. If you have another energetic young cat at home, Neko might just be the missing part of the duo you never knew you needed.

Neko has lived more than half of her life in our shelter. She so deserves a loving forever home. Is that something you can offer?

When Claire arrived in late February, we honestly did not know if this beautiful kitty would make it.

Announcing the large photo winners in the CWA 2024 Photo Contest, for the CWA 2025 Calendar

Each of these photos are more than Just Another Pretty Picture because they were taken by
ordinary people, who show they care about the cats in their lives by making a positive difference in their communities.

The entries and voting involved over 50 people who wanted their favorite kitty's photo to be one of the 13 LARGE photos in next year's calendar. The voting proceeds and calendar sales
benefit all of the programs for cats at Cat Welfare!

In addition to the thirteen large photos, nearly all of the photos are still winners because they will be featured on the monthly calendar pages. This fun contest and fundraiser helps support Cat Welfare, while creating awareness about events for cat lovers scheduled throughout the coming year!

2025 calendars will be on sale this November at the shelter, and online at the CWA website at: http://www.catwelfareassoc.org/

A short bio because we are young!
We have been in two wonderful foster homes. We have been cuddled, fussed over and “trained”. We all love playtime and being a part of whatever is going on. Heck, we’ll even pop in for a Zoom meeting if the urge hits!

We’ve been around a dog, and had to wrestle a big orange monster cat (we loved it!) who snuck in our room to see our cool toys. We know what vacuum cleaners and blow dryers are- neither are very scary when you’re brave like us!

We keep hearing perfect. Or is it purrfect? Either way- if that’s what you’re looking for then here we are!

It’s always a real mystery why some cats just seem to get over looked. This young lovely is Astrid. Sure she’s got a lil spice to her but have you ever had Mexican hot chocolate- it’s kind of perfect!

Astrid has been with us since October. It’s time for this playful, judgmental young kitty to find her forever person. Astrid requests a home without any other cats who would consider cuddling with her.
