We have heard the rumors of Librela being pulled and according to the FDA website, that is not the case. Our hearts go out to any family that has experienced an adverse event but the studies show the benefit to quality of life this medication provides for so many dogs. Like any medication, adverse results can happen in a patient but it has so far been found to be rare with Librela (

Recognizing OA Pain in Dogs

We have heard the rumors of Librela being pulled and according to the FDA website, that is not the case. Our hearts go out to any family that has experienced an adverse event but the studies show the benefit to quality of life this medication provides for so many dogs. Like any medication, adverse results can happen in a patient but it has so far been found to be rare with Librela (<10 pets in every 10,000) with many symptoms resolving on their own after about 2 weeks. More than 21 million doses have been distributed globally with the industry still reporting satisfaction with the treatment for dogs suffering from OA.
