Meet our team!
BFAH would like to tell you about our Associate Veterinarian, Dr. Amanda Stowers. With a strong background in veterinary medicine, Dr. Stowers has been serving in the field since 2004, bringing nearly 20 years of expertise to our team. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal and Dairy Science, along with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
Her special interests include soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and client education. She is passionate about the human-animal bond, building strong relationships with clients, and serving the community through her work. When asked what she enjoys most about working at BFAH, Dr. Stowers highlighted the incredible people, the supportive environment, and the friendships she’s developed along the way.
At home, Amanda shares her life with her husband Patrick, their two boys, Blane and Owen, and their beloved pets: Ruby Sue, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; Gus, a German Shorthaired Pointer; and Paisley, a Domestic Longhaired Diluted Calico.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys reading, DIY projects with her husband, gardening, and hosting gatherings for friends and family. She’s also a planner and a leader in her church, where she leads Bible studies.
Amanda's favorite animal is the otter, and it's easy to see why--she loves their carefree spirit, playfulness, intelligence, and, of course, their undeniable cuteness!!
We’re thrilled to have Dr. Stowers as part of our veterinary family and appreciate all the care and compassion she brings to our clinic!
