October is National Pet Wellness Month!!
Starting off our month, we want to introduce you more to "Happy Visits". As most of you know, North Kenny is a Fear Free clinic. Therefore, we encourage Happy Visits for those timid or fearful dogs. During a Happy Visit, your dog is introduced to different people and parts of the clinic while getting lots of love and treats. This encourages your pet to have a positive experience at the vet's office.
I would love to share this story with you as it warms our heart and introduce you to Kerry. Kerry was very fearful at her first visit with North Kenny after some not-so-great experiences elsewhere. Her owner was encouraged to start her on a Calming Care supplement and try happy visits. Well, Kerry ended up coming in for 3 Happy Visits and this was the result of her last visit with us followed by her owner's testimony to this process...
"We are so grateful for the patience and gentle care you have given Kerry. It has really helped her have confidence in coming to see you. As a result, the vet techs were able to do a pre-surgery blood draw without restraint.
