Pets Without Parents Pets Without Parents is a non-profit, no-kill, all-breed shelter for dogs and cats. Every pet is spayed or neutered before going to his or her new home.

Our mission is to place every pet that enters our shelter into a loving, permanent home; to motivate our local community to support our shelter, its no-kill mission, and spay-neuter efforts through donation, volunteer, and adoption opportunities...until every pet goes home. We strive to create a community that nurtures and respects companion animals, and to someday see that every pet is loved. In

order to create such a community, Pets Without Parents functions as a pet adoption shelter, carefully placing pets into forever homes. Additionally, we do everything in our power to reduce the pet overpopulation. We can only accomplish our mission by educating the community and sharing our beliefs that we are creating a better world for these wonderful animals.

This has to be one of our favorite adoption updates to share because it has been such a long time in the making! Dee came to PWP as part of a hoarding situation. She was one of the original dogs of the home and the most untrusting of people. Dee has been a great playmate to many dogs during their time at the shelter because she loves dogs more than anything! FINALLY Dee has found a fabulous family that is spoiling her, giving her the support she needs to settle into home life, and a doggie sibling to share it all with! Dee has worked hard to be ready for this next chapter and her new people said they knew she needed them when they saw her photo! This we are hoping to find someone to give Radar his best life! Radar was found abandoned and tied up. He was anxious, but a foster home has helped Radar blossom into a goofy personality. Radar is a ball of energy and love! He adores people and playing. He is an enthusiastic learner, will tug and fetch as long as you will, and likes to sleep behind his human's knees (even under the covers when it's cold). We started our year with Bumble and Bee, two little kittens that watched the ball drop while being bottle fed by staff. After growing big and strong enough for adoption in with wonderful fosters, they each found their new families.
From Bee's mom: Bee is such a happy, snuggly, sweet girl. Bee loves everyone she meets and has a habit of perching on everyone's shoulders. She and her 4-year-old brother, Toad, also from Pets Without Parents, enjoy spending time together looking out windows, grooming each other and chasing each other around the house.
I am so grateful to Mim and Pets Without Parents for all that they do to ensure that snuggle bugs, like Bee and Toad, find their forever homes.

Rizz is such a lovable meatball. He was found running on the highway. After being rescued, he walked right into the shelter, stopped to say hi to a few cats and dogs, and then settled right into his crate. He appears housetrained, made quick friends with everyone he has met, and makes the most adorable yodels when he wants your attention! He's looking for someone to give him the home he deserves this . At only 6 months old, Oliver had at least two families before his surrender to PWP. It was important for him to find some stability and love in a forever home!
From the family that gave him that:
Since coming home with me, Oliver is doing wonderful! He is the bright spot in the day and he has been a gift to me as I hope I have been to him. My favorite time of day are those mornings with a bit of extra time when I can sip coffee and he snuggles right in by me on the couch. He is full of funny antics and is a tiny celebrity when I take him out. Everyone has to say hi! He gets to go to doggie daycare on my work days and staff has been charmed by him too. Wherever he goes he makes friends dog and human alike! He enjoys lounging in the sun and sitting on my back porch. I am so blessed by him and love being able to spend time with him. Life wouldn't be the same without him in it! ☺️

It's ! Each year on this day, there is a global movement to GIVE! PWP is asking you to consider giving to our mission. We give rescue, shelter, and adoption to so many amazing cats and dogs! Our donors, volunteers, staff, fosters, and adopters give so much all year round to make this all possible! Today we are going to share just a few of our recent work.
Gonzo was found abandoned and tied to a fence. Gonzo made a lot of progress at PWP and his adoptive family took over to help him be the best boy. Being deaf made Gonzo an extra special guy. From his family: Lincoln just wants to be around someone all of the time, on their foot, lap, etc. Sharing a rope or a tug. He enjoys the yard and his walks. He's a keeper!

From Winnie's mom: Winnie has been a wonderful addition to our family! She enjoys most of her time being as close to us as possible. If we are on the couch so is she, cooking dinner you can count on her to be in the kitchen too. She has found a love for any ball she is able to pick up. She will bring it to you to toss around which is adorable. Thank you for all you do and giving us the opportunity to love Winnie!
