It has come to our attention that multiple people have been sledding or snowboarding at the dog park recently. These activities are NOT allowed at the dog park for safety reasons, both for the human doing the activity and all dogs that are in the park. Many dogs like to chase things/people that are moving fast, and this is a recipe for disaster.
Unfortunately, we just learned of a very serious injury that happened to a dog this past weekend due to an accident with an individual snowboarding at the park.
If you see someone sledding or doing other prohibited activities, if you feel comfortable, please politely let them know that the rules of the park prohibit that activity. If you do not feel comfortable approaching the person, if the vet clinic is open, give us a call at 920-623-3366 and we'll gladly send someone down to the park. Registered users of the park also have to keep their license plates in our database, so when the clinic is closed, you can write down the license plate of the person and email us the information so we may investigate and attempt to contact the person.
We appreciate your help in keeping the dog park a safe place for all registered users.
