💡What is Phovia and How Does It Help Pets?💡

Phovia is a non-invasive light therapy that helps speed up healing in pets with skin conditions, moderate to deep wounds, hot spots, surgical incisions, and more! 🐾💙

Using a special blue LED light and a topical gel, Phovia stimulates your pet’s skin at the cellular level — promoting faster regeneration and reducing inflammation. That means:
✅ Less discomfort
✅ Shorter healing time

Phovia is great because it is pain-free, stress-free, and drug-free — and most pets barely notice it’s happening!

Want to know if Phovia could help your pet? Give us a call or ask during your next visit! 📞🐶🐱

📌 What is a Fine Needle Aspirate? 🤔🐾

Have you ever noticed a lump or bump on your pet and wondered what it is? One simple and common way to find out is with a fine needle aspirate (FNA)!

🔬 What is it?
A fine needle aspirate is a quick, minimally invasive procedure where a veterinarian uses a small needle and syringe to collect a few cells from a lump, bump, or mass on your pet’s body.

💉 How is it performed?
• The area may be gently cleaned.
• A fine needle (similar to what’s used for a vaccine) is inserted into the lump.
• A small sample of cells is drawn into the syringe.
• The cells are then placed on a slide, stained, and examined under a microscope — or sent to a veterinary pathologist for further evaluation.

🧪 What do we look for?
FNAs help us determine whether a mass is:
✅ Benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous)
✅ An infection, inflammation, cyst, or other tissue type
✅ In need of surgical removal, medical treatment, or simple monitoring

✨ Why is this important?
Early diagnosis means the best possible treatment plan for your pet — and peace of mind for you!

If you ever find a new lump on your furry friend, don’t wait — give us a call. We’re here to help keep your pet happy and healthy! 🐶🐱❤️

If your dog suffers from allergies, you may have heard of Cytopoint and Apoquel—two popular treatments for managing itching and allergic reactions. But how do they differ?

Cytopoint is an injectable treatment that works like your dog’s natural immune system, targeting and neutralizing a protein that triggers itchiness. It provides relief for up to 4-8 weeks and is a great option for pet parents looking for a long-lasting, non-daily solution.

Apoquel, on the other hand, is a daily oral tablet that works quickly (within 4 hours) to reduce itching by blocking certain pathways in the immune system. It’s an effective option for dogs with seasonal or year-round allergies.

Both treatments can be highly effective depending on your dog’s needs, so it’s important to consult your vet to decide which option is best.

Dehydration is a serious issue that can affect both dogs and cats, especially during hot weather or after intense activity. Some common signs of dehydration include dry gums, lethargy, loss of appetite, and sunken eyes. If your pet is panting heavily or seems unusually tired, it could be a sign they’re not getting enough water.

To prevent dehydration, always ensure your pets have access to fresh water, especially during the summer. You can also offer water-rich treats like ice cubes or pet-safe fruits. If you notice any signs of severe dehydration, like vomiting or weakness, contact your vet immediately.

Stay vigilant and keep your furry friends hydrated! 💧🐾
