“Public Service Announcement - RED LIGHTS on Vehicles

Have you ever seen someone driving behind you with a RED flashing light? What does that RED light mean?

In Ohio flashing RED / RED WHITE lights displayed (with no BLUE flashing lights) on a vehicle indicates a volunteer firefighter is responding to a 911 call in their personal vehicle. They are responding to their firehouse, or to the scene to provide the manpower needed for the emergency.

If you see a passenger car with a flashing RED light, please consider treating it like any other emergency vehicle; we (your Community Volunteers) are requesting the right of way - this is a courtesy light. When it is safe to do so, please pull over to the right and come to a complete stop, so that we may travel safely past.

Many people don't realize what these flashing RED lights are for. Every second counts. Help us help you. You never know, we could be responding to an emergency for a friend, or one of your loved ones.” —Duplin Fire Public Service Announcement

We had another chance to work with members of the US Army today presenting at the Eastland Career Center, Criminal Justice Class. Sasha got to enjoy lots of her favorite thing.....attention. Thank you guys for inviting us to tag along! We look forward to collaborating with you in the future.

K9 Sasha was invited to train with members of the United States Army and was truly able to "Be All that She Could Be!" The opportunity allowed us extremely challenging scenarios and are looking forward to our next training event!

The Friends of Ohio K9, Inc. is planning a dog park to honor our fallen ODNR K-9 officer, Jason Lagore, and his first K-9, Ranger. Officer Lagore was dedicated to training K-9s for Ohio State Parks, Ohio Division of Wildlife and Ohio Boating and Watercraft. His immense impact will never be forgotten.
