Recovering from our mudfest weekend at the Capitolina Dryland Challenge! Actaea is now less than 10 miles away from earning her Dryland Working Certificate! I’ll put together a fun video sometime soon.

Actaea started the year off by earning her Rally Novice title and then getting her first Intermediate Q the next day with awesome engagement!

Huge huge huge huge congratulations to Suzie and her boy Spectre for winning best of breed for his first major, 3pts! They then went on to take a Regular Working Group 4 to turn that major into a 5pts major!

Thank you to judge Ainslie Marie Carius for awarding Spectre BOB and taking him to a Group 4 at the Great American Dog Show!

So proud of them for how hard they’ve worked and their perseverance!

Actaea and I at the Trailbreakers Sled Dog Club of Ohio Dryland Challenge! We had a great time. Only our second race together in one dog, but Actaea’s third race! She improved a whole minute the second day including puppy shenanigans 😂 Hoping to hit Capitolina in January if I can swing it 🤞🏻

From the harness to the show ring… Actaea had an action packed day!

Sunday morning on our way to the Xenia shows, we stopped at John Bryan State Park to go for our second run of the season and had a lot of fun!

Then off to the Clermont County Kennel Club shows where she won BOB and OHG1 under judge Shelley Hennessy. Then she won the Bred by Exhibitor Working Group and on to a Bred by Exhibitor BEST IN SHOW in a beautiful line up of dogs 😭 Thank you so much to the judge, Dr. Anne Midgarden!

Huge thank you to both judges for awarding my special girl 😭🩷 I am over the moon. Of course she got a big cup of fresh strawberry ice cream after to celebrate 🍨

This past weekend Actaea picked up two Qs towards her Rally Novice title and Fen picked up one Q towards her Rally Excellent! Would have been two if yours truly didn’t walk right past a sign and forget that it existed lol

Another fun (and wet) weekend at Canfield this year!

Actaea took WB on Friday, and RWB on Sat/Sun. Thank you do the judges for the recognition!

It was great to see friends and hunker under the tent with y’all as it monsooned 😂 We also got to see seester Zora again which always makes my heart happy!

Fen and Actaea got belly rubs at OSU today! Oh, and their eyes tested 😂 Dr. Hamor assured that their eyes and temperaments passed today and that they were so sweet and cooperative lol
