A video from Taea’s last FCAT! She is getting dangerously close to breaking 26mph!
Taea taking off out of the shoot day 2 at NE dryland!
Thank you to Laura L for releasing the crazy child and Laura A for videoing!
LEASH had a training day and we put the family together in harness! Daughter Taea is in lead with Ninkasi’s “Spock” (unrelated) with momma Fen and son Ulquiorra in wheel! Very fun to get to run them together and we appreciate Laura and Romil for inviting us and sharing their equipment.
Fen’s best run from her first trial. A perfect 100 scored jumpers with weaves run! Can’t wait for our next trial now.
Actaea has been really kicking it into overdrive with our runs. Her take offs are getting very strong and she’s picking up on line out already. We’ve been enjoying these cool mornings, for sure. Starting to push a little mileage while trying to maintain a good speed.
FenFen has her first agility trial next weekend! As long as I can keep my cool, I think she’s going to do great! She has been fantastic in class and we’re excited to give it a go 😁
The dryland season is slowly starting 😍 Actaea and I have been hitting the trails on cool mornings. We’ve only been out for three runs yet, but she’s doing amazing. Averaging over 11mph and top speed around 15-17mph.
It’ll be a hot one this week, but it’s looking like next weekend we can go out again 🤞🏻 Once it gets under 50s, Fen will get to go. She is less heat tolerant than Tae.
We are hoping to hit some races this fall and work on her Dryland Working certification from SHCA ✨
Actaea was able to get a few runs in harness this past running season. Since she is still a puppy, we did short and slower runs to not put too much strain on her growing body, but still get her acquainted with the sport and excited for more!
After a few runs with other teammates, Actaea’s drive was notable and I wanted to see what would happen if I threw her in solo despite her having hardly any experience. We have some work to do with “line out,” but once we got going she truly shined. A lot of promise in a tiny package.
This was her last run of the season, I let her go a little longer and faster since it would be a while until she got to go again and she reveled in it!
Very excited to hopefully get her in some races this winter.
Fen and I have been really enjoying our agility classes. She is such a smart and motivated cookie, I’m trying to keep up with her and not overthink everything 😂
Hope to compete sometime soon :)
Happy 4th of July!
