Today we helped a very special boy over the rainbow bridge. Cody has been coming to our clinic since we opened 15 years ago. You could always catch him with his little brother Max down at daycare ❤️🐾

We sure are going to miss him so much. Please send some prayers and love to his family at this time. We hope that sweet memories can bring them comfort.

It was a great pleasure to provide Phenix City Fire/Rescue department with special pet oxygen mask this week. 4 pet oxygen masks were donated to the Phenix City Fire Department for each vehicle on behalf of Angie Mitchell and her team at 2nd Avenue Animal Hospital located in Columbus, Ga. The pet oxygen masks were donated to help resuscitate animals who breathe in smoke caused by fires. More mask will be going to the Columbus department next week.

We are sure going to miss Jackson who is headed off to Vet school! Jackson has been with us for over 3 years now and has been an exceptional member of our team. We know he’ll make a great DVM someday and we will all truly miss him.

Please do not take your pets to firework displays. Please get your pets safe inside and try not to lock them in a small room. They will go find a place they normally feel safe in. Try turning up the TV or radio. Remain as calm and relaxed as you can and maybe try to distract them with toys or treats! Happy Fourth of July!
