These chances can be significantly reduced by neutering them at an appropriate age. Can Sheeba crash with you for a few days??

We desperately want to find Sheeba a foster so she can enjoy time in a home before transport! She is 2 years old, 50 lbs, dog and people friendly, and super adorable as you can see. She just needs a place to crash until 2/7 when she makes her way to Pennsylvania to find her new family 🐾

Message us if you can help! We really want to find her somewhere before the bad weather gets here so she can be cozy on a couch for that time. Foster must be local to Columbus, GA.

With the incoming cold weather and snow this week we are in need of emergency fosters to come and take a dog for the week. Ideally we need homes that do not have any other animals in your house. ‼️WINTER WEATHER CONTIGENCY PLANS‼️

We are closely monitoring the predictions for winter weather in our area for this Tuesday and Wednesday (January 20th and 21st)!

At this time, we do not have plans to close our offices, however, we do live in Georgia and these predictions could end up being accurate! In the event that we do get ice/snow, the safety of our patients, clients, and staff is our utmost concern and will take priority in our decision making process over the next couple of days.

We urge all of our clients to call for refills on medications and/or food to make sure they have what they need to get through the week.

PLEASE do not leave your pets outside in this weather without a warm and dry place to stay 🙏

It’s about to get COLD in down here in south AL/GA! As you prepare for the coming week, please remember the 4 P’s —

•PEOPLE: Check in on your loved ones, friends, neighbors, etc. Especially those who could be more vulnerable to this weather.

•PIPES: Out pipes aren’t used to this weather. Be sure to leave a faucet dripping & insulate where you can to prevent frozen and burst pipes.

•PETS: Your pets do not need to stay outside in this weather! Keep them warm. Bring them in. If you have community cats, provide them with an outdoor shelter if possible.

•PLANTS: Don’t forget about your green friends! If you have outdoor plants, bring them in or cover them up to try to protect them from the freezing temps.
