The owner's relationship with their dog needs to be one of respect and leadership. Your dog looks to you for guidance and direction. Becoming pack leader with your dog is critical to your training. My goal for my students is to have a confident, happy, working dog that responds on the first command.

šŸ¾ Meet Lacey! šŸ¾

This 15-week-old, 19lb puppy is a suspected Belgian Malinois mix (though we havenā€™t DNA tested her), and after a few weeks in quarantine, sheā€™s ready to move on to the next chapter of her life! Lacey came in as a stray, so we donā€™t know much about her past, but weā€™re excited to help her find her forever home.

If Lacey is a Malinois mix, adopters should be prepared for a dog thatā€™s intelligent, energetic, and highly trainable. Belgian Malinois are known for their strong work ethic and need plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Without proper training and socialization, they can develop behaviors like over-protectiveness, excessive barking, or destructiveness.

But even if sheā€™s not a Malinois, proper training, structure, and care will benefit both Lacey and her future family in the long run! We just want you to be fully prepared to help her grow into a well-adjusted adult dog.
