“WHY DONT’T YOU TEACH PUPPY OBEDIENCE CLASSES?”
Because after 30 years of teaching puppy obedience classes, we have discovered something better. Basically agility. Yep. Agility.
“BUT DOESN’T MY DOG HAVE TO HAVE SOME OBEDIENCE BEFORE STARTING IN AGILITY?”
Nope. In our agility classes, your pup will learn to sit, lie down, follow your hand, stay, and pay attention to you while ignoring distractions. And the best part is, your pup will be having a blast while he does it. No more boring obedience classes where you struggle to get your dogs attention. You learn the same concepts in agility, but it’s a lot more fun! Agility classes will also build confidence as well as self-control, and the best part is the bonding relationship growth that will happen between you and your pup.
“HOW OLD DOES MY PUPPY HAVE TO BE BEFORE STARTING AGILITY?” He just needs to be old enough to have his second set of puppy shots. The sooner you get started, the sooner you’ll have a well-behaved pup!

Does your dog need a hobby?? We love our dogs, and our dogs certainly love us. But is there more? If you have a dog who enjoys activity, if you have a dog who enjoys thinking and watching and learning, then maybe your dog needs more. Maybe your dog needs a hobby. Agility is unique in the dog sports world, because agility combines physical activity with complex mental activity. In other words, your dog has to think. Many dog sports are repetitive activities, or activities based on drive, but agility is a sport that requires your dog to learn to follow your instruction, which is different every single time you step on a course. So what does this mean for the you and your dog? It means that bringing your dog to an agility class will not only give your dog the mental and physical stimulation that he craves, it is also an incredible bonding experience for the two of you. Agility is a partnership, and even just taking a simple, basic agility class will increase the communication level and the bonding between you and your dog. I promise you. You won’t be sorry. TWO SPOTS OPEN! This will be the last time this class has offered until 2026

Taking your dog for a walk or going out in public to a class or an event should be fun, not stressful. If you’re having issues, we can help! Sky Dogs is having a Reactive Dog class that is starting Sunday, September 21. The class will meet from 4:00 to 5:00 PM for six weeks. The cost for the class is $350.
My goal in this class is to help change your dog’s emotional response to stimuli, so that instead of working from a negative emotion, we can retrain their brains to associate positive emotions with their triggers. Through this process, will also give you management tools to help your dog, and make you very aware of what your dog is thinking about before they actually go there, so that you can intervene. The first class will be without dogs, and we will practice techniques on a non-reactive dog. The next class will be short private lessons so that we can have some one on one time and make sure that you understand our processes, and the last four classes will be group classes, using distance and visual barriers to keep the dogs under threshold as we work to get positive responses from the dogs in a group setting.

If you’ve ever thought your dog might enjoy agility, why not give it a try? Agility is great for your dog to learn control and attention, as well as basic obedience, all while having fun and building a strong partnership with you. This is a great class for puppies as well as older adults. All dogs, whether they are shy or outgoing, young or old, will benefit from this beginner class

All ages welcome! This class is wonderful for Puppies also!

WEAVES CLASS! Want to work on getting solid fast weaves? Join us for a special September weaves class. All skill levels are welcome, we will work to improve your weaves no matter if you have just started, or have good solid weaves that just need more speed. Get ready for fall competitions!

Two of our recent graduates from the last reactive dog class showing their skills, focusing on their mamas and ignoring the dog beside them. Very proud of these two, they have both come so far!
Our reactive dog class is not only about giving you tools to manage your reactive dog, it’s also about changing their emotional response to their triggers. I would like to start our fall class by the end of September, so if you’re interested in taking this class to help your dog diminish their reactivity, please message me or email me at [email protected].
