REACTIVE DOG CLASS IS BACK!
If your dog pulls on the leash and barks, snarls, and refuses to concentrate when he sees other dogs or people, then this class is for you. Walking with your dog should be relaxing and fun, not stressful and difficult. The class is 6 weeks, the first week is without dogs so we can practice handling, and the second week will be a short private lesson for you and your dog. The last four weeks are group classes where we will you use distance and visual barriers to keep dogs under threshold while we practice redirection and alternate behaviors to keep your dogs brain focused and on you. The class will be on Sundays at 5:00 starting May 26. Price is $350

So exactly what is the Sky Dogs Co Op? It’s a pretty amazing opportunity, actually! For $150 a month you could have access to our training facility any time there are not scheduled classes. So you and your dog(s) can come and play by practicing agility, obedience, or maybe just some run around and play time! You don’t have to be taking classes in order to take advantage of the co-op. However, if you do decide to take a class during the month, you only pay 40% of the price. That’s $32 for a regular four week class. This is a great opportunity for everyone, but especially if you have multiple dogs! And, for a small additional fee, you can bring a friend and their dog. Sounds great, right? So proud of all the teams in this photo. This is the last night of our Reactive Dog class, and each of the dogs in this photo would not have been able to do this a few weeks ago when we started. We’ve worked hard on changing their emotional response and giving their owners tools to deal, and between those two things this group of dogs is now able to be in much closer proximity to other dogs, and even being in a group class, which is a huge improvement from where they started. It’s a continuing process, but these guys have done so well. Bravo!

Our class is not full tonight (Monday April 29), so we are offering tonight’s AGILITY for FREE! Now is your chance to come try out agility with your pup, bring a friend with their dog, and have a blast with your pups. If you like the class you can sign up to finish the remainder on May. just send me an email at [email protected] so I could be sure we don’t have too many people, but we have room for five dogs now. We’ve had a great response to our TRY-IT NIGHT tonight from 6 to 9 PM. Looking forward to seeing everyone, and if you haven’t registered yet, there’s still room if you’d like to join us, just come to Sky Dogs , 4311 Lockbourne Industrial Parkway.

This FRIDAY, March 22, is TRY-IT AGILITY NIGHT! If you’ve ever wondered if your dog would like agility, this Friday is the night to find out! For $10, you can try an agility class, and if you decide that you and your dog love it and want to continue, your $10 can be applied to the complete course. We have three times: 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM. Bring your dog, bring some friends, and enjoy a fun and bonding Friday night with your dog. All ages, all breeds, and all skill levels (or no skill levels!) welcome!

I have so many wonderful photos from Faces of Rescue over the years, be sure to mark your calendar for this!

COLUMBUS AREA FRIENDS:
As most of you know a year ago when Ron Keller passed away unexpectedly we not only lost a great friend both personally but also to the many rescues he supported, but Captivating Canines his store too closed not long after. Since then we have met little success in finding a place in the Columbus area to hold our "Pics 4 Paws" events. Last week Sky Dogs came to OUR rescue by offering their establishment. So on Sunday, March 17th, 2024 we will be holding our "Spring Pics 4 Paws" photo event from 10am to 4pm at Sky Dogs located at: 4311 Lockbourne Industrial Parkway, Columbus, OH.

The event will be all "Walk In" with no appointment necessary. So please mark you calendars! Also because Sky Dogss is opening for us on a Sunday just for this event please make sure you come early as we will be stopping at 4pm sharp. We will be using the backdrop shown below. Please follow Sky Dogs on Facebook and join me in thanking them for their support!
