Our weather here in Ohio is not good, and it’s not going to get better for at least a few more weeks. So it’s the perfect time to take advantage of a big indoor play and training area for your dog. February is not quite half over, but for half price you can come play at Sky Dogs with your pups for the remainder of the month. For $75 you can have until the end of February for you and your dogs to come play where it’s warm and dry.

It’s not too late to get the co op for February, and we have a couple of spots left in Agility Level 1 at the discount!

FEBRUARY ANNOUNCEMENT!!
I have some good news, and some bad news. First, the good news: for the month of February, our Agility 1 class is 40% off! That is $50 instead of $80 for February. AND, for current students in Agility 2 and up, we are offering 40% off your class if you can get a friend to sign up for a class as a new student.
Why are we doing this?? Ok, here is the bad news. For the past three months, we have had almost nonexistent new enrollment. We can no longer afford to stay in business if this continues. We know we have a wonderful agility program, we have a wonderful facility, and wonderful instructors. We have been in business since 2014. Ten years. And for some reason, our business has just plain stopped. So this is our opportunity to welcome new students and give them one more opportunity to give Sky Dogs a try. And it’s an opportunity to reach out to previous students, and current students, and get everyone to come back, and promote us to your friends. We have one month, or Sky Dogs will be no more. If you love us, please, come back to classes, and reach out to your friends. If we can have a great February, we could afford to continue. But we’ve got to fill our classes.

Sky Dogs is more than just agility. Sure, that’s one of our specialties, and we offer classes for beginners with zero experience all the way up to advanced students who are actively competing in dog sports. But the great thing about agility is not just competition (although competition is insanely fun and addictive!!), agility is also a great place to start with training your puppy to focus, pay attention to you, and enjoy learning. It’s a great way to build confidence in a shy dog, or control in a crazy dog! It’s not only physical exercise, it’s a dog sport that also incorporates mental exercise like no other. And mental exercise is super important for your dog.

SKY DOGS CO OP
For the price of $150 for the month, you and every human in your house and every dog in your house can use Sky Dogs and our agility equipment. If you only go once a week for an hour, that is $37.50 for each visit. If you go twice a week, it’s only $18.75 per visit. If you bring two dogs each time, it’s $9.38 per dog. If you bring 2 dogs and your partner brings two dogs, the cost is $4.69 per dog . . . You get the picture? Aren’t your dogs worth that for two playtimes a week? 😊

Sunday March 30, 2025 10am-4pm Sky Dogs, Columbus, OH.

Rather than doing an Easter backdrop, I have opted instead for something warmer with more of a Spring feel than a holiday theme.

Because of the weather last week, we postponed the start of our Reactive Dog class until Sunday Jan 12. We still have two spots available, so message me or email [email protected] if you’d like you would like to join us.

REACTIVE CLASS STARTS JANUARY 5
If your dog pulls on the leash and barks, snarls, and refuses to concentrate when he sees other dogs or people, then this class is for you. Walking with your dog should be relaxing and fun, not stressful and difficult. The class is 6 weeks, the first week is without dogs so we can practice handling, and the second week will be a short private lesson for you and your dog. The last four weeks are group classes where we will you use distance and visual barriers to keep dogs under threshold while we practice redirection and alternate behaviors to keep your dogs brain focused and on you. The class will be on Sundays at 5:00 starting Jan 5th. Price is $350

The dog walk has been a pet peeve of mine for years, I’m so glad that someone is finally looking at making some adjustments to this. There’s no reason why this needs to be so high and so narrow. So many organizations have made changes to equipment for safety reasons, yet the dog walk is the one that I have seen more accidents and mishaps than any other equipment and it’s remained unchanged for all these years. Let’s do better, let’s get some changes in place with competition organizations!
