Taking your dog for a walk or going out in public to a class or an event should be fun, not stressful. If you’re having issues, we can help! Sky Dogs is having a Reactive Dog class that is starting Sunday, Nov 30. The class will meet from 5:00 to 6:00 PM for six weeks. The cost for the class is $350.
My goal in this class is to help change your dog’s emotional response to stimuli, so that instead of working from a negative emotion, we can retrain their brains to associate positive emotions with their triggers. Through this process, will also give you management tools to help your dog, and make you very aware of what your dog is thinking about before they actually go there, so that you can intervene. The first class will be without dogs, and we will practice techniques on a non-reactive dog. The next class will be short private lessons so that we can have some one on one time and make sure that you understand our processes, and the last four classes will be group classes, using distance and visual barriers to keep the dogs under threshold as we work to get positive responses from the dogs in a group setting.

TONIGHT! Drop in Level 1 Agility at 8:00 pm!
Come to our Level 1 class Monday Nov 3 at 8:00 and give agility a try for FREE. No training prerequisites required, no dog is too old or too young! Bring a friend and you can earn a discount on a future class.
It’s cold and gets dark early, so why not grab your dog, grab your bestie and their dog, and have a fun evening out with the pups! Our address is 4311 Lockbourne Industrial Parkway, no need to register, just come with your dog and treats 🙂

Just look at Calvin as he learns how to connect all the obstacles and run with his mama through the course! Calvin is just finishing agility level two, and he’s also a recent graduate of reactive dog class. So proud of this boy who learned not only could he coexist with other dogs, but he even learned to be friends. We really pride ourselves at Sky Dogs on being all inclusive, and working with the dogs that maybe struggle a bit more than others. Sometimes this is due to physical special needs, or sometimes it’s dogs who just need a bit more one-on-one care to get going in this sport.
Working to help dogs and their handlers is so worth it, to see the joy and excitement for this game. We would love to help you and your dog find that joy! To sign up for classes in November, follow this link:
