October isn’t just about ghouls and goblins…sometimes it’s about the cutest little humans and their giant hearts.

Meet Noah…
🎂 Noah recently turned 7 and for his birthday, he raised $50 and a WHOLE BUNCH of pet food donations for SAVE Ohio Pets!! Then, he brought all the goodies (plus mom and big brother) to our clinic yesterday, AND stayed the whole time to help pass it out!!!!!

Gaaaaah! 🥰🥰😍😍🥰🥰

💚 This type of selfless goings-on, really tugs at our heartstrings and reminds us that our little ones are not only watching, but sometimes (a lot of times) they are LEADING!

💀 There was nothing SPOOKY about our October PUP-kin Patch clinic, in fact we have a couple joyous updates…

🎃🐾River has some spinal issues and was the beneficiary of a donated wheelchair through SAVE! She came in for a check up today and is doing much better walking on her own! In fact, she was moving faster than we could keep up! Thanks to River’s family for doing everything they can to build her strength and keep that beautiful Pibble smile on her face!🙌🏼

🎃 🦴Echo is a long time client that has struggled with severe allergies and ALL the skin issues that come along with them. The vet gave her and mom a Gold ⭐️ for all the hard work they are doing to keep her allergies under control!🙌🏼

With only 13 (amazing & hard working) volunteers we helped 44 pets get a little bit healthier today…all at no charge to their loving families!

🍁 You loved our holiday wreath fundraiser so we're back with more crafty Fall decor options!

📆Join us on September 24th from 6-8 PM at The Goat Dublin, for a fundraiser to support our mission of reducing pet overpopulation and keeping pets and families together in Central Ohio. We'll provide all supplies, and board members Penny and Susan will guide you each step of the way, to bring a beautiful Fall Wreath or Festive Halloween Pumpkin to life!

$60 - Make & Take (In-Person/1 per person)

*Space is limited and time will only allow each participate to make one item at the event, BUT 'Made for You' options are available if you want both items (which you definitely do!), simply unable to attend the in-person workshop, or want multiples.

By participating, you'll not only unleash your creativity but also help provide free vet care and spay, food, and neuter services to those in our community who need it most. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, FROM 9AM-1PM

The Columbus Humane Essential Care Center is offering a vaccine clinic and pet food pantry event for dogs and cats on Saturday, September 14th, 2024 from 9AM-1PM.

We are offering core vaccines for dogs and cats at a severely reduced cost to anyone who cannot afford vaccines otherwise. Pet food will be handed out for free to anyone in need.

Payments: CASH ONLY

DOGS AND CATS
Rabies Vaccine | $5.00
DAPP/FVRCP Vaccine | $5.00
No flea and tick treatment will be offered at this vaccine clinic.

The vaccine clinic is drive-up and no appointment is required, just stop by during from 9AM-1PM. You will be registered as a client at the time of service. All vaccines are administered through our pet food pantry drive-thru. When you arrive, please enter the drive-thru line for service. Payment is taken at the time of vaccine administration. We are only able to accept cash payments at this time.
All dogs must be leashed and cats in carriers, regardless of temperament.

This clinic and pet food pantry are intended for our community who otherwise cannot afford traditional veterinary care. If that’s you, see you then!

We want to thank our friends at Rascal Unit for spending their Labor Day helping pets in the community. Thanks to their dedicated staff we were able to get 6 dogs and 18 cats off our waitlist. They all got spayed/neutered and vaccinated and are waking up healthier today.

Not to brag buuuuuut the world of animal advocacy, this is the stuff of legends☺️ We’re proud of our talented, unshakable, brave, and compassionate volunteer crew, our partners at Rascal Unit, our board of directors, and we are immensely grateful for those who helped us pay the bill for THE MOST spay/neuters we’ve ever done in one day…🙌🏼

🌟Marcia Perry…a SOP supporter from the very beginning, is our “Leader of the Pack” sponsor. This means today she covered the cost of one truck (approximately 50 spay and neuters) as well as today’s wellness clinic, where 34 pets got vaccines and preventative meds. If you follow us then you’ve seen Mrs. Perry’s name many times in our gratitude posts. Marcia does so much more for us than we can even tell you (b/ the post would be waaay too long) so just know we probably owe her an organ or two. 😆

🎉Teri Bennett is our favorite birthday girl! Today is her birthday and instead of asking for presents, she’s giving them…to us!
