Kaye Smith is a distinguished Reiki Master and Director of the Animal Wellness Program at The Reiki Center, where she has been professionally offering sessions and instructing classes since 2016. With over 25 years of experience in pet rescue, fostering, dog training, and more than a decade practicing Reiki, Kaye brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her work with animals.

Her journey began in the 90s at CHA, where she volunteered, igniting a lifelong passion for animal advocacy. Over the years, she has collaborated with various rescue organizations, including Speak for the Unspoken, providing training and support to fosters and adopters of special needs pets.

Kaye's approach combines observation, calm communication, and consistency to help pets feel secure and understood. She believes in the transformative power of energy work to bridge the communication gap between humans and animals, ensuring a lifetime of harmony and happiness together.

Animal Reiki for Reiki Practitioners

This class teaches those that already have taken Reiki to adapt that connection to use with animals. Animals are different from humans in many ways and this class helps you understand how to connect with animals more easily and provide a session that will impact the animal and their person in a powerful way. This class will add items to your toolbox to help your animal friends and your overall Reiki practice.

Animal Reiki is an energetic connection adapted to pets and other animals which offers pain and stress reduction techniques through light touch or the "beaming" of energy to an animal. Learning Animal Reiki gives you the ability to take a more active role in your pet's health and wellbeing. It's also beneficial to those who care for and work with animals professionally or in a volunteer capacity.

This class provides support for Reiki practitioners that want to learn Animal Reiki that are Reiki trained. One nature-based booster Attunement will be included to help with intuitive connection.

How to protect and clear while working with people, pets and other animals
Easy ways to connect when working with your pets and other animals
Treatment techniques to help assess and work with energy imbalances in animal
How to include animals in your meditations
The Animal Chakra system and ways to help with balancing it
Communication with Animals
Conducting an effective Animal Reiki session
One Nature Based Attunement
Hands on work with animals

We offer two ways to study Animal Reiki! At The Reiki Center where you will work with dogs, cats and other smaller pets or at The Medicine Horse Preservation Farm where you will work with horses. You will receive the same curriculum and personal attention, but the animals we focus on are different.

Gordon was at the Center on Saturday. We worked on being more cooperative when our ears are being cared for. Energetically, very little energy was moving through his paws which made him not feel safe, or grounded.
