Many of you have gotten to know Laura over the years. Fran and Laura are the crazy dachshund ladies behind S Kennels Doxies.
Those that know Laura, will not be surprised to see she is spending New Year’s Eve in the nursery with the pups. We give her a hard time because she cries when the puppies go to their new homes. 🤣
We all love the babies, but Laura loves them the most. She would truly keep them all if she could.

We unexpectedly lost our beloved DeeDee a few days ago. She had four precious two week old babies who were suddenly orphans. Thankfully, Gracie being the super mom she is, has adopted them as her own. Without hesitation, the minute we put them in with her she started cleaning them. 💜 All EIGHT puppies are thriving and gaining weight daily. Gracie is holding her weight and is very content with being a mini mommy to eight.

For those that follow our page on a regular basis, you might remember two years ago when Sushki got sick and couldn’t nurse her babies. We put her babies on Junie and she raised all NINE puppies. Junie is Gracie’s mom, and Junie is a Cleo baby. Cleo would always take pups in a time of need and raise them. Being a phenomenal momma is obviously in their genes. 💕

Gracie’s little miniature AKC dachshunds boys have their eyes open! They are enjoying the abundant all you can eat milk buffet and long naps in between. In a week they will be on the move more, and taking less naps. It’s always fun to watch their little personalities start showing up.

Are you looking for a dachshund? We have a diverse selection of smooth hair, wire hair, and long hair. They come in many different color patterns. We raise all colors including piebalds, dapples, solids, brindled, and we even have some piebalds with ticking (see above photo). We maintain a quality dachshund at all times. We also try to maintain a definite superior standard in these dogs that makes them excellent companions, or even fantastic show dogs if you so desire. All puppies have to meet this standard. By doing so, we have enjoyed many years of repeat business, and numerous owners with multiple S Kennel Doxies in their homes.
