I’m thinking about doing a weekly day camp on Saturdays
How many of you would be interested in signing up your littles? Ages 5-13
$60 for the day. Drop off would be at 9am, pick up at 1:00pm
Activities would include:
Feeding the animals their breakfast
Morning barn chores such as cleaning the stalls and washing buckets
Grooming the horses
Bathing the horses
Making home made horse cookies, and frozen treats for the pigs and chickens
Pony painting
Learning horse anatomy
Learning about tack and horse equipment
Pony rides
Arts and crafts

Looking for something fun to do with all those bored kiddos while they’re out for the summer?

Bring them out to Horses Hope and Healing Equestrian Facility for a “just for fun lesson”!

We can do private and group lessons. Private lessons are for 1 student and allows for more one on one learning time with the instructor. Group lessons can be as big as 6 participants and are a mix of learning basic care, grooming, and a quick ride at the end of the lesson. This is a super fun way to spend time with your kids, family, or friends this summer!

Things have been kind of wild around here the past couple of months but I believe we’re ready to get back to normal!

Days are longer, temperatures are warming up, horses are shedding and all of us cowgirls and cowboys are ready to get back in the saddle!

I have about 10 spots to fill in my riding lesson program! This year we are doing something exciting! I am going to be working in collaboration with the new Horses Hope and Healing equestrian facility in Comer Ga! Lessons will still be happening at Wildwood Acres as well, but Horses Hope and Healing will allow us to expand the program and give our students more opportunities!

Lesson spots will fill up fast so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!

Wildwood Acres offers weekly beginner horse lessons for horse lovers ages 5 and up! Students will learn not only how to ride safely but also how to care for and handle horses in a safe and effective way. The horses and I look forward to meeting new students and seeing familiar faces again!

Things are getting Spooky up on Horseshoe Hill!

This Sunday evening we will be ready with a big bowl of candy for all of the trick or treaters! Please don’t hesitate to stop by on your Trick or treat route! The horses may be wearing costumes… and you don’t want to miss that!

When you take the lead line off, they have a choice. They can leave you or they can stay with you. If your horse chooses to stay with you, that tells you that you are more important to them than any thing else. For that horse to work off of your body language alone and never leave your side shows you that they see you as their leader, and they know that they are safe with you. Always be your horses safe space, but always have your horse’s respect.

There have been so many new students at Horseshoe Hill the past week and still so many on the schedule that I haven’t met yet. Seeing these kids bond with the horses and smile so big makes me beyond proud and happy to be where I am. To all of the parents that allow me to work with your kids, thank you for giving me a purpose! Your kids are making my heart overflow with happiness and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them ❤️

Horsemanship with Amber Youngblood has moved! We are now located in Crawford Ga off of Hwy 22 at Horseshoe Hill Stables and training. The facility is just 25 minutes from the University of Georgia and only 15 minutes from Watson Mill State Park and about 5 minutes from the Oglethorpe county schools.

Horshoe Hill will be offering 4 stalls for full board western horses starting in November (maybe before) of 2021. The stable has concrete dirt floor stalls, 18 acres of turnout fields, tack room, outdoor wash stall, one small riding arena, a round pen, one large riding arena, and will soon have an obstacle course, small lounge, and bathroom.

I will also be offering up to 5 stalls for full board horses in training. This includes untouched c**ts, mare and foal (if you want your c**t to have an early start), problem solving, tune ups and more.

I am expanding my beginner to intermediate riding lesson program for ages 5 and up, so there are several slots open to schedule.

School is back in full swing, schedules are back on track and The horses are ready to see their kiddos again! Wildwood Acres is now offering some new services!

Riding lessons:
I am now offering beginner riding lessons for adults and Kiddos! Ages 5 and up! Riding lessons include learning all about horse safety, how they think, how to communicate their language, handling them, grooming, tacking them up, and of course riding!

The Cowboy Experience:
This package is all about the joy of being around horses without having to commit to your own horse or paying for riding lessons. This is for those of you who have always wanted to ride but never got the chance to. Or those of you who just want to do it to do it! You’ll come out to the farm, we will go pick out and catch your horse, groom them, tack them up, have a quick riding lesson in the arena and go on a quick trail ride after. This package allows up to two riders at a time.

C**t Starting:
This applies to all horses that need to be started... whether they have had some training or no training at all. Your horse will leave my farm quiet, respectful, and using the thinking side of his brain. The foundation of your horses training is the most important part. When your horse has a solid foundation, they will be ready to learn and blossom in whatever you decide to do with them.

30 day tune up:
If your horse has been sitting for a while, being disrespectful, developed some nasty habits, or you just want them to be worked regularly for a while, send them to me for a 30 day tune up. I’ll do my best to get you and your four legged partner back on track.

Trailering:
Is your horse a Jacka$$ when it comes to trailering? Have you been stuck at a horse show for hours because your beast decided they just didn’t want to load? Need to move a horse but don’t have a trailer? I can help with that. Pricing really depends on the situation. Feel free to reach out for more details on this service.

Private Training Sessions:
Set up a private session to get some one on one learning time with your horse. This service will bring me out to you and your horse where we will work on any issues you and your horse are having and being consistent in the training your horse has had so that you avoid bad habits returning.

Dolly, Monte and I enjoyed watching the Easter son rise service at cowboy church early this morning! I couldn’t imagine a better way celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ ❤️

Why do you think ground work is important? Or do you think it’s important at all?

In my opinion, we should be able to communicate with our horses and gain their respect without ever even having to touch them, just as if they were wild horses learning respect for the dominant horse.

What are your thoughts?
