with my equine veterinarian, Dr. Teressa Dwyer. I spent much of my time at her vet clinic (Dr. T's Equine Clinic). Through this experience as well as caring for my five horses, I became very well versed in caring for injuries and recognizing emergencies with horses. During highschool, I worked for Rocking S Stables, where I fed, cleaned stalls, watered and checked 30+ horses twice daily (5am and 4pm). During my time there I caught multiple colics and gained the respect of the stable owners and clients. I also did pet sitting for several family friends when they went on vacation or attended horse shows. During this time I also broke, trained and sold multiple horses of my own to afford horse shows and my truck. My experiences showing and riding also led to exercizing/training horses for Dr. Teresa Dwyer, Melissa Miller(yearling lung line), Bobby and Linn Glover(Cutting horses), and Patra and Steve Short owners of Windbreak Farm. I have traveled with owners of Twisted Oak Farm to Colorado and Waco where I worked as a groom for their clients at horse shows. Aside from horses, I worked at Mustang Creek Ranch, owned by Bill Grace, which is a exotic game ranch dedicated to improving the genetics of the white-tail deer. Mustang Creek Ranch is distinguished as the best trophy hunting in Texas! During my summer at Mustang Creek Ranch, my job duties included cleaning fawn pens, feeding numerous orphaned fawns, doctoring injured deer, painting barns, working with horses, caring for hunting dogs (fed and cleaned pens), and caring for exotic birds. I am a former student at UTSA in San Antonio and am beginning a new pet sitting business "Lindsy's Pet Sitting Service" I am looking forward to continuing pet sitting, exercising/training horses, and gaining the trust and respect of select clients who want their pets to receive the same care whether they are home or away.
