Come mingle with Kris Kringle (aka our very own Dr. Steinberg) and have your pet’s photo taken with him on Thursday, December 19th, from 5 – 8 p.m. Pictures will be printed onsite and are absolutely FREE! We’ll also have hot cocoa, tasty goodies, and festive cheer to fit creatures of all shapes and sizes.

Commack Veterinary Center is moving back to our home at 7 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway Commack NY 11725 on Friday October 18th and we will reopen Friday at 9 am. We will be closed on Thursday October 17th while we move. Our phones maybe temporarily down during the move. We wanted to update all our clients of our temporary location at 6230 Suite C, Commack, NY 11725 (same location we were when we did construction 2 years ago) while we rebuild our hospital. We open up for appointments starting Wednesday August 28th. We are working on getting our phone lines open again hopefully by Monday morning August 26th but if you call please leave a voicemail and our staff will return your call same day. Or you can email us at [email protected]. If you have an emergency please do not leave us a voicemail as we might not be able to return your call immediately.

On August 19, 2024 our businesses, Commack Veterinary Center and The Pet Salon suffered a devastating water damage event. Our facilities have severe damage, rendering our hospital and pet salon currently inoperable. We are temporarily closed at both locations while we rebuild. Commack Veterinary Center is moving to 6230 Jericho Turnpike, Commack NY 11725 effective Wednesday, August 28, 2024 and our hours will resume as normal starting the 28th. The Pet Salon will remain closed until further notice. We are working to get our phone systems working again, communications posted at both locations, and information posted on our websites and through social media. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time.

Dear Friends, Animal Lovers, and Compassionate Community Members,

We urgently need your support following a devastating water damage event at Commack Veterinary Center and The Pet Salon on August 19th. Our facility has suffered severe damage, rendering our hospital and pet salon temporarily inoperable and leaving many animals without the critical care they need.

The Situation:
Our infrastructure, including essential medical equipment and supplies, have been extensively damaged beyond repair. We are temporarily closed, creating a void in our community where countless animals depend on us.

Our dedicated staff is heartbroken, and animals are left without necessary care and treatments. While we work on temporary solutions to reopen, we urgently need your help to repair and restore our facility.

How You Can Help:
While it’s too early to calculate specifics and we have had preliminary discussions with our insurance company, we know the cost to rebuild will be significant. We’ve launched this GoFundMe campaign with a goal of raising at least $350,000 to begin to cover some of the repair costs, replace essential equipment, and manage temporary relocation expenses. Every dollar you contribute will directly aid in reopening our doors as quickly as possible and continuing our mission of compassionate care for your furry friends.

PREPARING YOUR PETS FOR THE 4th OF JULY. We are all excited to celebrate the 4th of July next week, however…it’s important to think about how you can keep your pets calm, safe and comfortable during this noisy and possibly stressful holiday. If you need anti-anxiety medications for your pet please call us or schedule an appointment at 631.462.0191. We will be closed July 4th so please make sure you are prepared before the holiday. 🐾
