Houdini broke out of his yard for the first time today. 🙄 I knew he was fully capable. Luckily, he just chased our cat and then ran back up on the porch. He’s so fast. 😂

Mallow loves to play tug and ball but his FAVORITE is tag! He loves to be chased. Poor Daisy definitely gets her exercise.

We’re working hard to get Mallow used to ’normal’ life. When I first sat down to eat he actually had his mouth on a piece of pizza! 😳

Using the training collar and praise for wanted behavior, this happened within 10 minutes. My pizza has been sitting here now for another 10 minutes and he hasn’t even tried to sniff it.

He is such a smart boy. Good job, Mal!

I was trying to catch Daisy checking out Mallows dinner bowl. They are separated when eating but lately I’ve been leaving Mallows bowl out to see how he would respond to Daisy being near it. He could care less. He is more interested in getting her to play tag.

Mallow shows no signs of food aggression! 🙌🏼
He does get a little pushy to see what YOU are eating, but he’s working on his manners. 😉

Mallow gets to spend evenings in the house but he doesn’t stay here full-time due to my senior boy Teddy. I don’t want to disrupt Teddys word and he’s isn’t very happy about another male dog eyeing his ladies. 😉

I’m so thankful for my shop and that the space allows us to foster in a safe way.

I do try to incorporate Mallow in our everyday life to make his transition to his forever home easier. The last two days Mallow has spent the afternoons in a crate in my old office. This way he can hear/see us in our normal environment. Today, he was comfortable enough to just chill at the gate and watch the kids run through the house. 😁

Story time! How Mallow got his name 🥰

Mallow loves me, but he LOVES Tim! Tim is stern, and strong and confident. Mallow knows he’s not a push over or big softy like me. That’s exactly what Mallow needs. I kid you not, this dog whines in his yard until Tim comes to play with him. 🥰 If you’re a dude and Mal doesn’t like you, we probably won’t either. 😂 #itrustdogs

Dinner time and Mallow

Once Mallow settled in, he was slowly introduced to our newest addition (and rescue) Daisy. They are close in age and became quick friends. It’s so cute watching them in the mornings. They are in they’re separate yards until breakfast time is over and then Mal waits patiently at the gate for his girl to come play in his yard.
