😔 I had to let Gracie go today. The infection came back and started going through her leg. Trigger the horse in the pic stayed the whole time she was here even to the last moments We stood together with her. I thank you you guys for the support and prayers.

😔 Gracie has taken a turn for the worst. She doesn’t seem to be responding to the treatment and going backwards. Vets will be out tomorrow to evaluate but any prayers and thoughts will be appreciated. It might be a very rough day tomorrow.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE….do not leave your dog in a car in the parking lot with the engine running for the AC. A lot of vehicles will start blowing warm air when sitting idle after a few minutes. Especially older vehicles. Love and protect your pups 😎

As much as we love horses we have to remember they can be very dangerous. Whether in purpose or accident they can land you in hospital or worse. Big momma mare got me a good one with a kick to the hip (only because I turned not to get it in the jewels 😜) I’ll be feeling that one for awhile 😉

Bitter sweet day for sure. My fur babies went to their new home today. 😔😊. But they all get to stay together in pastures with numerous trees a 2 acre fresh water pond and dad lives next store so I’ll be visiting often.

Ok this is unacceptable. I’m going to start off by saying that I know rescue and working animal shelters is tough and heart breaking work. But I’ve been looking to get a rescue dog. I’ve dealt with a with a handful of shelters the past week. I’m not going to mention names or places. Two instances really hit me the wrong way. First one was an out of state shelter looking for a adopter for the dog had been there a long time and they wanted to get him out. I filled out app and listed I was out of state but they said they could transport him. I kept asking about price but they wouldn’t answer that question but kept the application going and calling references and so on. Long story short got to the end of the process and then they told me it was going to be $1000 to transport and a $300 adoption fee. Seems to me excessive for for a shelter begging people to take dogs but I’m not sure they’re in it for right reason.
The last one hear broke my heart but made me furious. I’d inquired about an advertised dog locally and said I’d like to come see the dog. Said I could make an appt took my info and I told them I’ll check my schedule to let them know when I could. I got very sick and was in bed for almost a week. When I called the shelter after that week they informed me the dog was euthanized the day prior to my call. This is ridiculous and sad to say the least. They could’ve at least made a phone call on behalf of the dog to see if I was still interested and could’ve made arrangements. I’m still saddened by this and we have to do better by these animals. 😔
