Work out Wednesday featuring Lyra!
Ashley and Lyra are working on muscle training in the rear legs on multiple uneven surfaces with the Bosu ball and fit pads. This is a more difficult exercise due to the uneven surfaces, but Lyra is a willing participant with cookies on hand! #veterinaryrehabilitation #caninerehab
Work out Wednesday featuring Huckleberry!
Ashley and Huckleberry are working on getting him back to walking after having surgery! We are utilizing his cart for stabilization while Ashley gaits his rear legs to move normally without dragging them behind. He's got some big goals of walking his mama down the aisle one day! #caninerehab #dogtherapy #veterinaryrehabilitation
Work out Wednesday featuring Cydney!
Today we are utilizing the underwater treadmill to help her improve her range of motion, strengthen her muscles and boost endurance. The buoyancy of the water minimizes the impact on her joints while increasing resistance on her muscles. This is one way we can help keep our senior patients and post op surgery patients mobile! #veterinaryrehabilitation #watertherapyfordogs
Work out Wednesday featuring Lyra!
Kristine is working on side stepping on foam mats with front legs elevated on an uneven surface. This exercise is meant to be done slowly and controlled to focus on front and rear leg strengthening and body awareness.

Work out Wednesday featuring Petra!
This is a very advanced workout, but our girl Petra is a pro! Here she is working with Ashley on core strengthening by balancing on various equipment such as the peanut and the Bosu ball. #caninerehab #veterinaryrehabilitation
Work out Wednesday featuring Huckleberry!
We are working on strengthening his hind end after having disc surgery by doing weight shifting in his cart. Weight shifting while in the standing position works on strength, coordination, and balance in his hind limbs. #caninerehab #disableddog
Laser pain management therapy featuring Lucy!
Laser is a non-invasive treatment that can help decrease pain and inflammation in all joints to help our senior pets like Lucy, and our post op patients recover/maintain a pain free lifestyle. Do you have a pet that could benefit from laser therapy? #veterinaryrehabilitation #lasertherapyfordogs
Work out Wednesday featuring Rex!
During our initial rehab consults we obtain joint range of motion and muscle mass measurements to track the progress of your pet throughout their time at rehab. Kristine and Ashley were working together to obtain these measurements on our new patient Rex, who currently has a strain on his iliopsoas muscle.

Work out Wednesday featuring Lyra!
Kristine and Lyra are working on a more advanced exercise stepping over cavaletti poles, on an uneven surface, and in a circle. This is a good exercise for balance, coordination, and proprioception of front and rear legs. We call this, the Lyra Loop 😀 #veterinaryrehabilitation #caninerehab
Workout Wednesdays featuring Benny!
Ashley is guiding Benny to walk over cavaletti rails raised at different heights. The benefits of cavaletti rails helps increase stride length, range of motion, proprioception, balance and using all limbs. #caninerehab #veterinaryrehabilitation
Electro-acupuncture with Dr. McQueen featuring Frank!
Dr. McQueen uses electro-acupuncture on patients who have chronic/severe pain, or to stimulate nerves to improve range of motion and help relieve pain.

Batty tackles the Thunderdome
Our dog of the week this week is Batty T!
Batty had to have TPLO surgery on both of her knees and has been a weekly visitor to our rehab department since! She does nothing for free and prefers an audience to watch her workout like her sister and Becca. She loves getting laser with Ashley and hanging out at home with her moms and her sister Rue. She is the queen of side eye through her doggles! Lets all cheer on this amazing girl! HOORAY BATTY! #caninerehab #dogoftheday
