We’ve enjoyed hunting the Louisiana opener alongside of Chienne from our 2024 Started Program! The first few hunts are some of the most important, and it sure has been a privilege being there for hers.

Bella girl is off to a great start this season! As expected with a young dog’s first hunt, there were a few minor kinks to be worked out before her next. Through her owner’s commitment to her success, Bella is now three hunts in and continues to make us all proud!

We’re thankful for this being a rarity here at the kennel, but man we sure are enjoying the views today!

Diamond Dog of the Week: Smoke! With his high drive and desire to work, Smoke has one bright future ahead of him. His owner is a waterfowl guide in Arkansas and we hope he brings a new level of convenience to him in the field. We look forward to having Smoke back next year for his advanced work and to begin his hunt test career!

Diamond Dog of the Week: Annie! She catches your eye with her beauty and seals the deal with her brains… Annie girl is definitely the best of both worlds! She’s calm and cool off the field, and flips the switch in the field. We’ve enjoyed every minute of working with this sweet girl and will surely miss her as she heads home to Iowa this week.

Diamond Dog of the Week: Banks! Banks is here for our Advanced Program and is a shining example of how dogs evolve as they mature. He’s always been a great retriever, but coming back for his advanced work has really made all the difference. His confidence has grown through the roof and he grasps new concepts with ease. We’re sad and happy all at the same time that Banks man is headed home today. It’s been an awesome summer watching him grow!
