*ADOPTED!!**

Minnie is an adorable 1-year-old Morkie (Yorkie/Maltese mix) weighing in at a petite 10 pounds. This sweet and lively girl is full of energy and affection, making her the perfect companion for an active, patient family.

Minnie loves snuggling up in cozy blankets just as much as she enjoys exploring the world on long walks. Her playful and affectionate personality shines through, and she’s always ready to be by your side for adventures or relaxation.

As a young dog, Minnie will need a little extra guidance with house training and crate manners, but with consistency and love, she’ll thrive. She might also do well in a home with another dog, but a meet-and-greet would be essential to ensure it’s a good match.

If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic, and loving companion, Minnie could be the perfect fit for you! Call us at (704) 784-7387 or go to our bio and fill out our online application. She’s ready to find her forever home where she can be her happy, cuddly self!

Please remember that to adopt Minnie, you must be 21 years or older and live locally to our area, as she is not yet spayed. Minnie already has a spay appointment scheduled, which is included in her $200 adoption fee.

Meet Ezra Grey, the adorable 10 pound terrier mix! He came to us from our local animal control after being found as a stray, which his wild and crazy hairdo reflects. Ezra is a young pup at just nine months old, still learning about the world around him. Ezra is full of energy and curiosity, always eager to explore and engage with his surroundings. He loves attention and doesn’t mind being held, but he also thrives on physical activity, so a home that can provide both playtime and cuddles is a must.

While he's still figuring out leash training and refining his manners, he'll need an adopter that will show him some patience. Ezra may do well with other dogs of his size, but a meet and greet would be needed to make sure he gets along with any potential canine companions. As for children, we haven’t seen Ezra around them yet, so a meet and greet with any kids in the household is important to ensure he feels comfortable. Due to his fluffy, somewhat unruly coat, Ezra's adopter will need to commit to a regular grooming schedule to keep him looking and feeling his best.

Ezra is ready to find a loving home that will help him grow into the confident, well-behaved companion he’s destined to be! If you're looking for a fun, affectionate terrier who’s sure to bring a lot of joy and personality into your life, Ezra might just be the perfect match. Give us a call at (704) 784-7387 or fill out an online application if you would like to meet him!

Meet Bullseye, a gorgeous 3 year old mix, likely a blend of American Bulldog and Boxer. Bullseye was adopted out from us as a young puppy, originally rescued from Georgia after losing his mother. But now, he’s back with us at no fault of his own, and his confused eyes say it all.

Bullseye is a big, gentle 80-pound dog who just wants to be loved on. His heart is as large as his frame, and all he truly wants is to be close to the people he loves. Despite his size, he’s a sweet and calm soul with the most endearing demeanor. He’s a cuddler at heart, and he would thrive in a home that will shower him with the love and attention he deserves. Though he may be a bit reserved and uncertain at first due to his recent changes, Bullseye is an incredibly loyal companion who will form a deep bond with those who give him the time to settle in. He gets along well with respectful, experienced children who understand the dynamics of living with a large dog. When it comes to other dogs, Bullseye has yet to interact directly, but he’s curious and non-reactive when other dogs pass by his kennel. He’s still finding his way and would benefit from a slow introduction to any potential canine siblings. A meet-and-greet is a must to ensure that he’ll be comfortable with another dog in the home.

If you're interested in making Bullseye a part of your family, please give us a call at (704) 784-7387 or complete an online application. Once he’s comfortable, you’ll find that Bullseye is an incredibly affectionate, well-mannered companion who just wants to share his love with you. If you’re ready to offer this sweet boy the second chance he deserves, Bullseye is waiting for a place to call home -one where he can finally curl up on the couch, knowing he’s loved and cherished forever.

Hey all, we have placed Biscuit (8) and Nella (3) in a fantastic foster home. We are now looking for a permanent placement for them as their loving owner has been moved to Hospice care. Their fosters say they are the perfect house guests. They get along with children (they have young grandchildren), cats (they lived with 3 cats for years) and they get along with other dogs (foster has two other dogs, one large and one small). They are housetrained and sleep in their crate at night (they would also love sleeping in your bed with you). Both are fixed, microchipped, current on vaccines and heartworm prevention). If you are interested in adopting these sweet girls and giving them a forever home, or, if you would like additional information, please email Judy at [email protected]. Their foster family would also love to share their experience with them with you as well. Please call us to make an appt to meet them. 704-784-7387.

Update: a week later: Magnolia Faith continues to do well. She is slowly gaining her strength, eating well and finding her voice. Her foster mom says, while she still has a ways to go, she is a delightful girl.

Saturday morning: Sweet Magnolia Faith is improving and the vet is very optimistic that she can recover. She is extremely emaciated and that will take some time. Her body temp finally started to rise and she is very thirsty and hungry. We are grateful for all of the support which allowed us to give her a chance.

Evening update: Magnolia Faith is now at the Emergency Vet for continued and sustained care. She is showing slight improvement and they are hoping she will continue to improve as her body warms. Will update tomorrow. Thank you to all.

Happy New Year everyone!

Sadly, it is not a happy new year for this beautiful baby that was brought to us late today in horrific shape. She was unable to stand and her gums were gray. These photo’s are hard to look at but this poor baby, that we named Magnolia Faith, was very near death when she was brought to us. It has been years since we have seen neglect and starvation this devastating. Our amazing office team quickly sprang to action and took her to Cabarrus Animal Hospital where she received immediate care. Her body temperature was so low that it didn’t register. Over the past few hours, her condition has improved somewhat but she is being transferred to the emergency vet for supportive care over the weekend. She is Parvo negative, thank God! She is basically starved to near death and had apparently been eating plastic which is passing thru her re**um. We could really use your help with donations for her care. Our bill at CAH is over $800 and the emergency room bill will likely be close to $2,000. Magnolia Faith has a good chance if we can get her body temp up. She is eating a bit, which is a good sign. If anyone can help with any donation, no matter the amount, we would be grateful. Donations can be made here, thru our PayPal at [email protected] or by calling our office at 704-784-7387 and donating with a card. (Please, no negative comments, we are taking all the appropriate legal steps to bring justice for this sweet baby). Thank you for all who continue to support us. We are grateful!

Sidra is a stunning 2.5-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound who weighs in at 60 pounds of pure charm and personality. True to her breed, she’s an active, intelligent, and spirited girl who’s ready to find her furrever home after a couple of detours along the way.

Born in our care, Sidra has been adopted and returned twice—not because she isn’t amazing, but because she hasn’t found the perfect fit yet as being the only dog in the home. She’s now searching for a home where she can feel truly comfortable and shine as the star she is, being the only animal!

She’d thrive in a home with older children who understand the unique traits of her breed and can match her energetic spirit. This active girl needs a family that will take her on multiple walks daily to help her burn off energy and keep her mind sharp.

As a true Treeing Walker Coonhound, Sidra has all the traits that make the breed special: loyalty, intelligence, and a love for adventure. She’d be a great match for someone familiar with hound breeds, but if you’re new to coonhounds, we encourage you to do a little research to understand her needs and quirks.

If you’re ready to meet this sweet, spirited girl and give her the home she deserves, please call (704) 784-7387 or click here to fill out our online application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CONC/Dog

Meet Nicky and Claus, two sweet Dachshund mixes who are looking for their forever home together! These two boys came to us from our local animal control after being found as strays in poor condition, struggling with skin issues. With lots of love and care, they are now doing much better and are ready to start their next chapter.

Nicky, the tan boy, is estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. Claus, the black and tan, is the younger of the two at around 1 year old and weighs around 10 pounds. While we aren’t sure of their exact relation, it’s clear that they are the best of friends and have formed a strong bond. They will need to be adopted together, as they are inseparable!

Since arriving at our shelter, both Nicky and Claus have been quiet, reserved, and well-behaved. We’re hopeful that their personalities will truly blossom in a loving home where they can feel comfortable and secure. Both boys are great with children who are respectful of small dogs, and they may do well in a home with other dogs of their size after a proper meet-and-greet.

If you’re looking for two adorable and sweet boys who are ready to love and be loved, Nicky and Claus could be the perfect match for you! They’ve been through a lot but are now ready to share their hearts with a family that will cherish them. Give us a call at (704) 784-7387 to make an appointment to meet them or fill out an online application here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CONC/Dog

Meet our precious litter of 7 mixed breed puppies, and get ready to fall in love! These adorable furballs were found in a box beside a mailbox after being dumped. Thanks to some loving care, they’re now healthy, happy, and ready to find their furrever families! 🐾

At 9 weeks old, these pups are full of energy, playfulness, and cuddles! They love running around with their siblings and toys, but after a fun day of play, they can’t wait to curl up in a big pile for a nap. These cuties will grow up to be big dogs—around 50-60 lbs—so they’re perfect for active families looking for a loyal companion who loves to play and snuggle.

Like all puppies, they will need a little extra training, like housebreaking and leash manners. But with a little patience and consistency, they will become wonderful companions!

The adoption fee is $200, which includes a scheduled spay/neuter appointment. Please note that the minimum adoption age is 21 years old, and you must be local to our area, as these pups are not yet spayed or neutered.

Ready to meet these lovable little fluffballs? Call (704) 784-7387 or complete an online application here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CONC/Dog

Disclaimer: 4 of these puppies are on medication for an upper respiratory infection (they have a little nasal discharge), but are still cleared for adoption! Medication will go home with adopter.

Let us help you declutter!!

We need your help with items for upcoming events, including our 17th Annual Spayghetti Dinner March 29th. We need baskets, items for baskets, door prizes and participant bags as well as stand alone auction items. No item is too small or of course too large. Items maybe dropped off at Ruth's Memorial Shelter or Princeton's Meow.

Do you have unused gift cards lying around that you know you won't use? What about items you received as gifts that just weren't your thing and are packed away in boxes unopened and unused? Did you purchase items from a friend's home party just to help them out that you never opened and will never use? All of these things can be re-purposed by us to support our mission to help animals in need.

Do any of our friends and supporters have a home business and have interest in donating something for baskets or prizes for upcoming Humane Society events. This is a great way to promote your small or home business.

Do you have a craft skill like crocheting, sewing, quilt making, embroidery, painting, photography, etc and could produce an item or items to sell? Folks love handmade items, particularly if they aren't crafty themselves.

Does anyone have connections with local establishments (business, hotels, event venues) that might be able to obtain a gift card, free night stay, event tickets, etc?

We love to help promote things close to home and we know there are lots of you out there who support the work we do for the animals.

If you have questions about whether we will accept an item just email us at [email protected] or message us here.
Thank you for your continued support.
