This is brilliant news (and long over due), but in my view, either Scotland catches up very quickly, or by failing to do so will make us a more of an attractive target demographic for UK dog thieves, which we all know is high return / low risk crime…… here!

At present, in Scotland our dogs are regarded as in inanimate object by the law.
Essentially, this means it carries the same penalties as if someone stole your flip flops.

England & N Ireland have changed the law to recognise our dogs as valued family members who have emotional bonds between us. 👏👏👏

So how should every dog owner/ lover raise this issue with our Government decision makers?
