Whoop, there it is! Remember that time we were like, oh we have a new well? Well, it didn’t properly water the whole farm! But now, we have about 2,200 gallons of water available! Whew, if it ain’t one thing, it’s another but let’s go!
EDITED (lol, Alisha posting): The Jang seeder—- filled to the brim with fall seed babies that will hopefully grow up to be adult veggies going off to cooked college! Our veggies are organically grown, utilizing practices learned on an organically certified farm in Ben’s Lomax incubator stages. It’s been a world of learning more since then, from digging wells to enriching soil. The land tells us what to do, and we do what we can! Now, we wanna tell you what to do— eat our veggies! If you wanna try new things or need a steady supply of veg per week without having to go to the grocery where you may or may not know the farmer who feeds you, fear not! We got you! Starting in September, you can get a weekly box of farmers choice, cream of the crop veggies to feed you and yours. 1 box a week is usually great for one person who loves to cook and up to 4 people in a household! If you need more? You can add on to your box each week including eggs! If you need less, there’s a half share option which means every other week.
We have so many pick up locations in the Charlotte, Concord, Davidson, and Matthews areas! And get this! if you get at least 5 people to sign up at your place of business or area, we will be happy to delivery straight to you!
You’ll get recipes per week and join a community where we share recipes on the daily. On farm events will be had and you will get first dibs! Take a gander at the website and click ‘veggie box’ and make your choice! We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

This last season was so impressive and it was a true correlation from the farm amping up production to members getting more creative! We got these tomatoes to Mary Jane from right before the big flood warning! We love parking lot meet up to exchange veggies especially when they’re found in yummy quiches Mary Jane makes on a weekly basis. Find her pies, quiches, and treats at the and on our online store! So happy to be able to visit Bleu Barn even though it’s bittersweet and their last day open. Tara and Brenton used to be neighbors to Ben at and we all became fast friends. Their product is delicious and we’ve enjoyed being of witness to their small business journey. However, as we all know, small businesses are taking a hard hit due to numerous variables and we are seeing people pivot left and right. The thing about Brenton and Tara? We just know they are are going to shine wherever life takes them.
They’ll be keeping their pantry open full of sourdough, hot sauces, jams and more. You’ll be able to find their products on our online store and we cannot wait to see what happens next!
Well, Ben installed the new well! This is major for the farm as it is now autonomously functioning with electricity and water!

Wompus is the King of Street Fare. Catcher of all rodents, predator to say the least. Beware, but don’t beware of the orange beast. He adapts to human needs of cuddling and will stop you in your tracks for a good pat on the head.
Since we moved to the upper part of the farm, so did Wompus. The farm is literally his home now and we’ve seen major benefits. He’s certainly part of the crew!

On another note, we are dreaming up a lot of things and thanks to the grant just received we have purchased the mini split ac unit so that our future farm store can have a/c! We got some donations of tables and farmy decor and can’t wait to make the place quaint and welcoming to all of our visitors. We have a great big plan to increase more herbs including medicinal herbs that can be made into teas and tinctures when our farm store will include a certified kitchen! We plan to work with our community gurus on helping to educate on food being thy medicine! Another big 2025 forethought is a huge field of u-pick flowers where some of the proceeds can benefit really beautiful and meaningful projects in our area! As Street Fare is close to turning 10 years old, we want to celebrate by bringing the community together, centered around the food that nourishes our souls. We love dreaming and can’t wait to slowly but surely make it all a reality. Stay tuned and join us for it all!

Our fall CSA is also open for sign ups! We are happy to say that we’ve had a much better season than last year due to the deer fencing and sprinkler that our friend April gave us. Despite the humidity taking a toll on some crops like the squash and cukes, we are content with how the boxes turned out as we aim for variety and delicious product! This was the first season everyone got ample amounts of strawberries and melons! We had plentiful potatoes and our first successful go at celery. The garlic was our best yet as well! We look forward to sweet potatoes and can only hope they’ll provide! This post will be a manifestation of abundance ahead. 97°F in October?! I'm running my overhead irrigation for 20 minutes every 2 hours to bring down the ambient air temperature and give these thirsty darlings a little sip to drink. The pressure is so much better since I trenched PVC from the well, which is 1000ft down the hill from the field, but until I get electricity up here at the field, I'm having to run the irrigation manually...
