🐻✨ Grizz the Doodle is here to remind us all that being fluffy and clean is one thing, but smelling nice? Absolutely not! 🤨💨
Watch as he pulls out his signature "stank face" when Chelsea W. tries to add that final spritz of cologne! 😂 Sorry, Grizz, but you're too cute to smell anything less than amazing! 💅🐾

Tuesday Tips: Puppies!
When should I start bringing my puppy in for grooming?
As soon as they've had their first two rounds of shots. Your puppy will be going to the groomer for the rest of their life so we want to start them off as early as possible so they get to know the salon as just another normal part of their routine.
What can I expect for my puppy's first visit?
At the first visit your groomer will start off simple. We don't want to overwhelm your puppy and make them fearful of coming in. First visit will typically consist of a bath, blow dry, nail trim and some trimming around the face, feet and sanitary area. This will be just enough to get them introuduced to the sounds, smells and feel of the grooming salon. There will also, of course, be lots of love, snuggles and treats to bring lots of positivity to the experience.
How often should I bring my puppy in?
We recommend every 4 to 6 weeks to create a consistent routine for your puppy and to keep their coat properly maintained.
What should I be doing at home with my puppy to prepare them?
Between appointments you should be practicing with the brush at home. Just like small children, puppies typically don't like the brush. Tolerance for the brush needs to be taught. Make brushing time fun, introduce high value treats whenever the brush is out. A big part of brushing is also making sure to do it before any tangles or matting starts. Make sure to ask your groomer at your first visit what brush is best for your puppy's coat type.
Attitude is Everything!
Your puppy knows how you are feeling. Make sure you are keeping this fun for them. Try to be excited when leaving for the salon and when you drop them off. You puppy will start to see that being left at a new place is something to be excited about.
