Friday, June 26th Storm Damage

Here are a few pictures of the aftermath of last Friday’s storm. We lost the plastic tops off of two of our hoop houses. Sunday afternoon was spent doing some clean up! We hope everyone was safe through the storm! ⛈💦

It won’t be long and we will have blackberries ready to pick!

We have two different varieties of blackberries growing, Natchez and Triple Crown. They are both great to eat by themselves or make into jelly! Starting the first part of June we pin up the new cane for next years crop called the Primocane! This keeps them safe and gets us ready for next year! 👩🏼‍🌾

‼️Tomato Update‼️

We know many of you have asked us or are wondering when our delicious tomatoes will be ready! We are as anxious as you are waiting for them to ripen! We only pick our tomatoes when they are deep red and ready to be enjoyed. To help our plants grow we have been “stringing” them to give them support, much like tomato cages. We have spotted a few tomatoes turning red, and we know many more will follow shortly! Watch our site for updates! 👩🏼‍🌾🍅

We have dug more new potatoes today while it’s dry in hopes for a few rain showers in the next few days! 🥔👩🏼‍🌾

Remember if you need any zucchini, cucumbers, squash, or potatoes to come see us on the farm today!

Planting sweet corn! 🌽

We planted our last planting of sweet corn and are ready for a much needed rain tonight! Our plantings are in all different stages of growth to keep fresh produce coming throughout the summer!

Happy Monday!

We have spent the morning picking green beans! They are fresh and ready to be eaten! Any guesses on how many pounds we picked?

They are $4.00/pound & pick up is on the farm, 2 miles south of Concordia! Comment or send us a message if interested! Pick up will be tomorrow after 1pm!

The blackberries and blueberries are setting on here at the farm! Our strawberry patches took a little hit this year and are done producing, but we are excited for the next berry crop coming up! Watch for updates on different produce here on our page! We can’t wait to serve all of you again this year! 🍓 👩🏼‍🌾
