Congratulations to this year's An Tostal Winner performance stallion Kynynmont Cooper O'Grady

The ACPS An Tostal award goes to a Purebred Stallion with an outstanding performance career who has been promoted as a Connemara stallion.

The 2023 winner is Kynynmont Cooper O’Grady (*Gunsmoke x Kynynmont Moira), a 14.3 hand 2008 buckskin stallion, bred and owned by Pam Liddell in Conestoga, PA. He is very eye catching and has a big following at his dressage shows. Early in his career he had one season of placing first or second in 10 of the 12 classes he entered, with an average score of 73.88%, the next season he won 13 of 15 classes entered with an average score of 71.35 %. He progressed up the levels by one level every year and now is working on his upper level movements to compete at I-2 and Grand Prix. He competes at major Northeast Regional dressage shows and has been know to lead the victory lap around the ring with a warmblood owner overheard to say “I cannot believe we were beaten by a pony!”

Great week at Kynynmont Connemaras! First, we learned Joanne Pedone and Buddy, who she bought from us last summer, had a victorious first recognized show earning 73%! Then we loaded up Kynynmont Cooper O’Grady and three green beans and took them to a fantastic and fun schooling show at Dunmovin Farm! All the young horses scored above 70 with multiple 75s!! Very impressive especially since it was Aliza and Katrin’s third time ever being off the farm since they were born! Here’s a little clip of Cooper and a compilation clip of Katrin (buckskin), Aliza (bay) and Samuel (dark bay). Thanks to the team: Jen Keagy, Connie miller, Zoe Lyristis, Maree Guise and Bella Kilby! Immediate opening for working student at Kynymont Farm, located in Lancaster County, PA, with head trainer Jessie Paine (USDF Gold/Silver/Bronze Medalist and Certified Instructor T-1).

We are a busy Connemara breeding and dressage training farm with a small staff of dedicated individuals with a passion for horses.

You must: be comfortable riding and handling young horses, preferably have riding experience at the equivalent of 1st level dressage, follow instructions, be kind and patient with horses and humans, be trustworthy and accountable, and be hard working and self motivated.

Responsibilities will include typical working student chores: grooming, tack cleaning, assist with turnout and occasionally with stalls, drag arena. We need someone with experience but are eager to train the right individual. Riding opportunities will be dependent on skill but will grow as you grow with us.

Gain extensive experience, have fun, and become a better rider. Compensation includes housing (one bedroom furnished apartment) and stipend. Have a horse? He or she is welcome to join as board/lessons for one horse is included. Horseless? We have plenty to ride and train!
