Sept. 10th Evergreen High School was the site of a school shooting. One of the elementary schools that supports Evergreen is King Murphy Mountain School, home of Cassie the therapy dog. Her first day was supposed to be Sept 16, however, in light of the shooting, she was needed Sept 11th, the day after the shooting. She was nothing short of amazing, helping the students through a difficult time as she spent a full day comforting kids. Thanks to Principal Scott Bain who completed the therapy dog program with Faithfully K9 Service Dogs making it possible for Cassie to find her joy in working with the kids as she continues to make a difference at the school.
