7week old opossums eager for mealtime
Several weeks ago, an opossum came in that had been raised by his finder because at the time she wasn't able to find a wildlife rehabilitator to take him in. Fast forward several months and he has finally figured out how to be a opossum and is ready to get his freedom.

The snapping turtle who came in a few months ago after a dog attacked him damaging his shell gets released today after healing up great, He didn't seem very thrilled about it, he was very content to sit hiding in his shell and not put on a show for us

Opossums are very good to have around as they are natures cleanup crew! They eat dead and decaying animals as well as thousands of ticks and bugs every year making them a big plus to have in your backyard!

Its a hard knock life, we are all just trying to survive. Take a moment from time to time to put yourself in the foot prints of an animal...be patient, be understanding, be compassionate, be kind to those who cant speak up for themselves. This little fella opened his eyes yesterday, how fast they grow up! Today we are going to demonstrate how to tube feed the bunny. Tube feeding is the preferred method of feeding baby bunnies as it reduces the risk of aspiration, is less stressful than syringe feeding and is also faster which puts less stress on the animal. Bunnies do not handle stress well so the faster they can get away from us humans are get back to their hiding spot the happier they are
