With the holiday weekend upon us, we wanted to share the list of Emergency Veterinary Hospitals that will be available if you have an emergency situation. We do advise calling ahead, if you are able to, so they may advise you on your particular emergency and to let them know that you are on your way. Happy 4th of July!

Summer is finally going to hit our area this weekend. Please remember to provide plenty of fresh water and shade for your pets this weekend and never leave your pets in a car.
Watch for signs of heat stroke: elevated body temperature, dark, bright red gums, sticky gums, dry tongue, staggering, seizures, bloody vomit, diarrhea.
If you suspect heat stroke, get your pet out of the sign immediately. Apply cool wash cloths on the bottom of their feet and head and you can feed ice cubes. Do not use ice water on them as it will impede the cooling process. Reach out to the nearest veterinary clinic or emergency clinic as soon as possible.
