Remember the NATIONAL PUREBRED DOG DAY is May 1st! Rescue people, remember that most AKC breed clubs have rescue too and we celebrate rescue purebreds on that day also!

To inspire.....

We didn't know this chap, but he seemed friendly, and when we asked if we could take a picture of him holding our sign, he said, "sure!" It's a great way to start the conversation about why we need National Purebred Dog Day - and for the person who asks (and there is always one), "what about the other dogs?" You tell them this:

National Dog Day was created in 2004
National Mutt Day was created 2005
National Puppy Day came in 2006 (and they may have all been created by the same person).

FINALLY: NationalPurebredDogDay was officially "born" in 2015, though the idea was conceived two years earlier. And why? Because purebred dog ownership was in the crosshairs of the animal rights and shrill rescue agenda. It was time to restore balance.
