Working the 6 month old started dogs on live pigeons today. They are looking pretty strong 💪

The 6 month old puppies are at the end of the started dog program. Although, no 6 month old dog is truly ready to go duck hunting in January, I work hard getting them as far as possible in the process. My goal is for the puppies to be able to pick up ducks inside of the decoy spread, deliver it to hand and to get some positive hunting experiences. This will set them up for more advanced training as they get older. The objective is to have that nice trained hunting companion at the end of the second hunting season.

Obviously im trying to be a little comical here but there’s a purpose to this training. Everytime the owner speaks, doesn’t mean the dog should move. (6 months old)
