RIP to the deputy who was killed in the line of duty and a speedy recovery for this hero with 4 legs. Saved his handlers life taking the bullet for him.
Prayers for all families and departments involved in the tragedy.

🙏💓UPDATE 1/16 BY THE VET: ROCKY WILL MAKE A FULL RECOVERY! he was lucky the shots didn't compromise his spine! 😞and his handler has been by his side the whole time. The quick respond to fly him by helicopter to the near veterinarian hospital was a key! Keeping him still in our prayers!!

He was shot twice today after alerting the presence of the criminal hiding in a dumpster. Brazoria county and the whole community are united as we lost a good officer Jesus Vargas😔👮 doing his job. 🙏💙🖤
