This stunning boy is Lars (A403111). He is a majestic looking German Shepherd mix, with the most goofy and affectionate personality.Though Lars is estimated to be around 5 years old, he is energetic and really playful. He is happiest when he gets to play with toys or when he's receiving tons of love and affection from humans. Devoid of the mental stimulation he needs, Lars is going a bit stir crazy at the shelter. Being locked up in a kennel all day is not fun for any dog, and especially not a breed that is so smart and sentient. This outgoing boy needs a family who can give him toys, take him out on adventures, and of course, give him lots of love, because he simply thrives on it. We do need to share that Lars has shown some reactivity to other dogs and needs to be kenneled alone at the shelter. However, Lars went on a hike and then to a bar with a few other shelter dogs last week and did great in the company of other four-legged friends. We think he may be best as an only dog OR with an experienced adopter who is willing to take the time to do slow introductions with other family pets. He also needs a bit of structure and basic training, as he can be strong on the leash. We hope you consider this incredible boy to be your new family member. According to his foster, Jaxson is the perfect mix of playful and calm, with a heart full of love and a gentle nature. He has a submissive play style so he has gotten along well with multiple dogs and is gentle around cats. He is listed as a kelpie- mix but his speed, agility, and profile also point to some greyhound in him. While Jaxson is timid, he has an affectionate temperament and would thrive in an environment where he can receive plenty of love. He is crate trained and has also been well-behaved when left alone. ❤Tater A395952, 2yrs, Neutered Male, 60 lbs ❤. Tater is a handsome boy who has been waiting 264 days to find a home—it’s been long enough! During his time in the staff office, he was a true gentleman, making sure to be on his best behavior. He loves treats (which he takes gently) and already knows the "sit" command. Tater recently spent time in the outreach office, where he was sweet with everyone who came up to say hi and seemed genuinely happy just hanging out. He also enjoyed a hike recently, walking well on a leash, loving the water, and having a blast swimming. Tater currently shares his kennel with another dog and has had multiple kennel mates during his stay. Tater has waited long enough for a family to call his own. UPDATE! DANNY HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME! ❤Danny A400305, 1yr, Neutered Male, 71lbs❤ Danny is a playful guy, who loves treats and is full of energy, making him the perfect buddy for an active lifestyle. Danny walks well on a leash and enjoys all the affection he can get, but he’s still brushing up on his obedience skills—nothing a little training and patience can’t fix. Danny has been a little stressed at the shelter. Being a playful, happy puppy, being stuck in a kennel 24/7 just isn't the life for Danny. So, Danny got a little break from the shelter when a few volunteers took him out on a hike with a couple of other shelter friends. Danny proved to be an awesome boy outside of the shelter. He's SUPER affectionate and VERY friendly, really goofy and funny, energetic and really excited to go on a hike. He also did great in the car. Despite not being able to share his kennel with another dog at the shelter, he did great around other dogs on the hike. He's also very smart, treat-motivated and very trainable. He does need to be fed separately from other dogs, as we noticed that he tends to resource guard. Danny would love to be in a home, where he can have the freedom to run, play, maybe go on walks and hikes, and of course, shower his owner with LOTS of kisses and cuddles. He'd be perfect for someone with an active lifestyle. Please consider adopting or fostering Danny, so he can live a happy, healthy life. 🌟Jaxson, A405775, Neutered Male, 13 lbs, 5 months Meet Jaxson! He is about five months old and seems like he has a bit of chihuahua or Italian greyhound in him, though we don’t know his breed for sure. Jaxson is such a happy, good natured pup. He is about 13 pounds right now, so estimators put him at about 30-40 pounds full grown. This sweet guy is a bit timid but clearly loves affection. He really shines around other animals and has been a friend to every pup and cat he has met. Jaxson is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Meet Ellie! This sweet girl is 7 years old and has been at the shelter since June. She gets along with other dogs, rides well in the car, can sit and shake, does great in public, and is an all around awesome dog. I don’t know how she keeps getting overlooked! Ellie had so much fun on her doggie day out to the park, enjoyed a pup cup, and charmed everyone in petsmart. She would love to get out of the shelter permanently and find her forever family. Looking for a fluffy companion, who is all happy smiles and tail wags all the time? Meet Cooper! Cooper is around 2 years old, and 51 pounds. He’s a Great Pyrenees mix and doesn’t seem to mind cats and loves all humans. He is so sweet and lovable. He recently went on a hike with a few volunteers and shelter dogs and also went to Kirby ice house (a bar) afterwards. Cooper did great! Watch the video to learn more about this adoptable floof.
